To each there own, which is why I still gave the book a 5-star. Part of the story discusses needles and shots. I’ve attached pictures so you can read specifically for yourself. If you either don’t mind or you have a medical situation where you need to encourage your child to be brave for whatever needles they may need, great, but this was a pass for us. Yes, lucky to have kiddos that are currently healthy so no needles, pricks, pokes, blood draws, or shots in this house. I think it’s necessary to note that it DOES NOT say v@ccinations, which I appreciate. Needles can and are used for other interventions, but this was enough to pass on the book for us for now.

I bought for a gift.

Great moral behind the story. My daughter screamed and kicked at the doctor for her 18 month appointment. I wanted to get her interested and feeling safe for her 2 year appointment with this book and the doc mcstuffins doctor bag. I have to skip unneccessary words in this book here and there to shorten it for her since she has a short attention span but I think she is getting the overall idea. She loves Boomer the Ball and playing doctor along with the book.

Good for any doc fan!!
