Very good
These are absolutely the best can collards that I have ever found. They have a very good flavor to them. You can either doctor them up and add more. You know meat to them or use them as they are

OK but Needs Improvement
I (and everyone in my family) agree with other reviews about it having too much salt and too much liquid smoke. Basically, you have to pour off all the liquid and then use your own stock or broth in order to tone down the saltiness/smokiness. Once you do that, these collard greens taste fine but it's annoying to have to waste part of what you're paying for AND pay extra to add your own stock/broth simply because Glory is much too heavy-handed with the salt and smoke. The other issue, which didn't exist in years past, but has now become an ongoing problem this past year is all the tough, inedible bits. And I don't mean just a little tough, I mean like bits of wood tough. In fact, the recent running joke when eating these has been that Glory must have started processing wood chip mulch inside the same factory as the collard greens and some of those wood bits are getting flung over into the collard production line. But joking aside, this recent ongoing problem isn't a joke. There are far too many of these woody bits creeping into every can lately and they are so hard/sharp some can puncture or cut your gums/tongue while chewing or scrape your throat when swallowing. That isn't an exaggeration; this has actually happened... several times from several different cans. I don't know what's happened to Glory's quality control this past year but if they don't improve it soon then, unfortunately, we're going to have to stop buying the brand.

Contains pork
Misleading vegetable collard greens contains pork ingredients. Should proviide a pork/meat free option clearly labeled for dietary law needs.

Glory Seasoned Southern Style Collard Greens.
Very salty. Canned greens are not the way to go if you like your greens cooked a little firmer.

Liquid Smoke
I did not know these were flavored with liquid smoke. My Mom used to make collards all the time but never used liquid smoke. Live and learn.

My BFF's Favorite!
Believe it or not, my dog LOVES these Collard Greens. She's on a strict weight management regimen, but the vet said she can have green veggies along with her regular dry food. I was giving her canned green beans, but ran out so I tried collards. She went bonkers over them! I do rinse them to remove a little of the salt, but this is soooo much easier than cooking them for her myself. AND... her recent blood work shows that she's very healthy due to the iron and vitamins in collards. I'm a very happy consumer, thank you very much!
