    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both my daughter and I tried it. I don’t have much of a sweettooth, but my daughter does. I found it to be way too sweet. My daughter who really enjoys sweets also said it was a bit on the too sweet side. She did enjoy it though although she’s not sure she would want to buy it. The cake was nice and spongy, maybe the frosting is what makes it too sweet. If you like very sweet cakes you’ll enjoy it.

Spongey but not too moist. Overall I liked it but felt there icing was a bit sweet. Cake aftertaste was good.

Kids were not interested in them. My husband tried and said they were thick and dry. I mean they are a cheap little snack cake so expectations shouldn't be too high. That being said, if you enjoy a chocolate icing you might enjoy. I prefer a ganache over a chocolate icing/buttercream. That is just a taste preference. So don't let me sway you if you are a die hard chocolate cake icing fan.

I thought they were pretty good. I certainly wouldn’t turn one down if offered. The chocolate frosting was mostly just sweet. It didn’t taste quite as choclatey as I was hoping. The cake part was a bit dense. They were pretty fresh. It was a great little birthday cake substitution. Perfect for sending to school with your kiddo on their birthday.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a box of this compliments from Influenster to test out in exchange for my honest opinion. The box has a tasty looking image of the cake. It has 4 cakes inside. The cakes are yellow layered cakes with chocolate icing on top and in the middle. The cakes have 330 calories per serving with 33 grams of sugar. The cakes were A LOT bigger than I expected. Two people can probably satisfy their sugar cravings with one cake between the two of them. Honestly, it might even satisfy 4 people because of how sweet they are. I could only handle two bites before I got sugar overload and had to stop. The cakes are very moist and the icing is very generous. I would probably snack on these occasionally, but definitely not that often and I would split it with my family. They taste good, but too sweet for me to eat on my own.

These little cakes are individually wrapped, which makes them so easy to take on the go and the portion size is perfect . My favorite cake is yellow cake with chocolate frosting and these satisfied that craving. I think these tastykakes are the perfect little treat for when you don’t want to get out all of the ingredients to bake a cake. They taste great with a glass of milk. These cakes were fluffy and moist which is what I look for in a cake. Overall, super happy to have these little treat treats.
