The Love To Dream Swaddle UP is the original & innovative swaddle that allows your baby to sleep with arms up! Babies naturally sleep with their arms up when you place them on their backs. Traditional swaddling binds their arms across their chest or at their sides. When babies wake up and want to self-soothe, they need to have access to their hands to rub their cheeks or put their hands in their mouth. This helps your baby to quickly settle & establish an easy & peaceful sleep routine. Our ergonomic shape and specifically engineered 360° stretch fabric helps reduce the risk of swaddling too tight, insuring you have the right fit for your infant. The Swaddle UP applies gentle, even pressure around the body which may help settle your baby. Most importantly, your baby stays settled and swaddled all night long - which means more sleep for you too! Available in 3 sizes - Newborn: 5-8.5 lbs., Small: 8-13 lbs., Medium: 13-19 lbs. Buy two - one to wear and one in the wash.

Q: My baby is bigger than a usual month old, he’s 11 pounds and 22 1/2 inches long, what size swaddle will fit is the question. I want to find one that will help him sleep properly and won’t be so snug.

submitted by Gabriela - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi there - We recommend you choose the swaddle size by your babies weight. For 11 lbs we recommend size Small which goes up to 13 lbs and 25"in length. You can also refer to the size chart on our website. https://lovetodream.com/pages/size-guide Thanks!

Q: I am due in June. Is this good for summer time? If yes, should I put a footie underneath or just the onesie would work. Thank you!

submitted by MM - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi! Our swaddles come in various TOG weights. The 0.2 TOG is great for summertime. It's up to you how to dress the baby under the swaddle but for a warmer room a onesie should work. See our site for more information on TOGS and our recommendations for dressing baby in various temperatures. https://lovetodream.com/blogs/baby-sleep/what-is-a-tog-rating

Q: My child is 13 pounds. Should I get the small or medium since they both accommodate that weight

submitted by Adelle - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi- Since our S and M can both fit a 13 lb baby both would fit but if you are buying new, I would recommend the Medium so your baby can continue to wear it as they grow. Thanks!

Q: Does this swaddle make baby’s arms tied since positioned upward??

submitted by Tor - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi There! The Swaddle up allows the baby's to be in an arms up position. If the swaddle is fitted properly they should have one arm up on each side of their body. The arms should not be crossed. Please check our website for more info.

Q: Hi! If I know someone’s child is 6 months old and they are using this wrap is it safe? And does it do anything with their arm development?

submitted by Aa - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi there! At 6 months we recommend your baby to try the Swaddle Up Transition bag. This allows baby to transition from the arms up swaddle to having their arms free with the snug comfort around the chest of a swaddle. Once the baby is able to roll over the transition bag is the best choice.

Q: Can I put these on baby with or without a onesie to sleep? Or will he overheat l? Temp is 73 degrees

submitted by Wendy V - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi there! The Swaddles are meant to go over your baby's onesies. If you are concerns about temperture please check out our lighter weight .2 TOG styles on the website.

Q: when do I know it is time to size up?

submitted by Melly - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi! Thanks for reaching out. All our products have weight suggestions in the descriptions. Please note the current weight of your baby and compare that to the product size chart. The swaddles are meant to be snug to give a swaddled feel. Small is 8-13 lbs and Medium is 13-19 lbs. If the baby is showing signs of rolling we suggest moving to the Transition Bags. Those sizes are also by weight. Thanks!

Q: When using this, if baby is a sqiggler and moves too much is it dangerous to have them in it??He seems to fuss more in it than out of it

submitted by LivingbyTheSea - 2 years ago
  • A: Hello and thanks for checking in! Our Swaddle UP is suitable from “day-one” up until your baby is showing signs of rolling over. Even if they are a “squiggler” as long as they are placed on their back to sleep, in their own sleep environment, the swaddle is still suitable. The arms-up position allows baby to self soothe by bringing their hands to their face or mouth whilst still providing enough resistance in the wings to calm the moro/startle reflex in the first 3 months. As a baby gets older, they start to move around the cot, this is part of their development and is great for them. You should not inhibit this natural desire for movement and your baby's arms should not be restricted when they are able to roll over. No matter what their age, as soon as baby starts showing the signs of getting ready to roll, it’s really important for both their safety and development that you transition them from arms-in swaddling to arms-free sleep. For some babies this can happen as early as 8 weeks but for others it may be much later, anywhere from 3 – 6 months. So, you need to be on the lookout! Signs that baby is getting ready to roll include: - Starting to roll over during playtime - Pushing up during tummy time - They can lift their legs and flop them to the side - Attempting to roll when swaddled

    Not for all Newborns

The swaddle is good quality but unfortunately my newborn hated it. I put him in the first time after getting out of the hospital and he just didn’t like it at all. Had to go back to the regular hospital one and then he actually fell asleep.

    Worth the money

My baby sleeps with her arms up. Anything that held her arms at her side just left her upset and fighting to get free. When I would swaddle but leave her arms free she’d wake up more often because her arms weren’t secure. The product is definitely on the pricier side for what it is but allowed me to get much needed sleep. I would say wait until your baby is born and see how they prefer to sleep before buying more that 1 newborn sized one

    Didnt work for us

The quality of this swaddle is great. The fabric, design, etc. were all fine. Unfortunately, my baby just hated it. And every time he wore it, his diaper would leak. Not sure if that’s the product’s fault though!

This swaddle is a game changer!

We absolutely love this Love to Dream swaddle! It has been such a game changer in our household for my baby's sleep. She always manages to wiggle out of traditional swaddles, and loves to sleep with her hands and arms up, so this swaddle is the perfect answer to that. It is soft and easy to zip up and down for diaper changes in the middle of the night. Highly recommend anyone whose baby likes to sleep with their arms up and is having trouble sleeping through the night.

My little one likes to move her arms but doesn’t like being cold so this is perfect for her! It also keeps her from rolling over and gives me peace of mind.

Praise God for a swaddle that doesn’t drive us insane 😂. We have tried reputable brands like Ollie and Halo, and while I bet those work effectively for slightly older babies, they have not worked for our newborn. Other swaddles always seem to have too many layers of fabric that shift around during the night and either result in fabric being in her face as she sleeps, or she is able to break her way out. This feels like the safest and most effective swaddle we’ve found. So easy to use! And our daughter seems to enjoy that she can keep her arms up near her face.

    Must have registry item!

Absolutely fantastic swaddle for my baby. Makes her feel safe and secure with partial access to her hands. We immediately noticed that she loved sleeping with her hands near her face, but would startle very easily. This swaddle allows her to settle quickly and stay asleep longer. The material has great stretch that allows for natural movement. We started with newborns and purchased the next size up! Looking forward to the transitional swaddles. Highly recommended item!

    Best Swaddle Yet!!!

This swaddle is so awesome! My baby loves sleeping with his hands by his face and would always wiggle his arms out of the traditional swaddles. We put this on him and he instantly started sleeping longer stretches through the night! Just bought the next size up! Highly recommend!!

    Convenient

Tried so many swaddles with my newborn. She likes to have her hands up so these worked amazing! The only swaddle I use. So easy for middle of the night feedings. Don’t have to deal with Velcro. Just a zipper. Makes it so much easier to change her diaper in the middle of the night.
