What you've described is not something we would expect and I'm sharing your experience with our Quality Assurance Team. For the product to pump properly there must be a space between the bottom of the bottle and the tube the product goes up. This is true of most pump-style containers, tighten the pump completely (if it was loose) before they trying to use it again. Once tightened the pump engages, it should then work correctly.
