I love these sponges. The light pink is incredibly soft and grows to a pretty good size. The purple is good for more precise blending, I think. It grows slightly, and keeps it angles well

Strange Smell
Mine came with a very strong chemical smell that transferred to my face so I was smelling it all day. I even tried washing them and still smell. Disappointing

Easy and effective beauty tools
This was my first time using the blending & highlighting sponge duo and the first thing I had to learn was how to identify them! Quick tips: the beige colored sponge is the blender so think "beige blender" the magenta lipstick shaped sponge is the highlighter so think "magenta lipstick highlights my lips" I dampened the blender slightly and used the sponge for my foundation and concealer application and I got a buildable coverage. I used the highlighter sponges dry to apply bronzer and blush and I got a noticeable stain. I also tried the highlighter damp and the application became more of a flush rather than a stain. So it's two completely different looks depending on whether you use the highlighter sponge damp or dry. These sponges are easy to use and simple to wash with soap and water. They also seem pretty durable and I expect to get a lot of use from them.

Perfect to use for blending
I actually do not use the purple one for highlighter, I use it for my liquid blush but it still works super well. I use the regular light pink one for my concealer and they both blend and work well! Would reccomend. It is also good to switch out/clean your beauty blenders every once in a while so for these prices, it makes it super easy!

bught these along with a few other sponges and brushes in a big ol haul! love that i can get everywhere with these! they help set my makeup and highlights easily to a flawless finsih!i also have these in the dressing rooms for many of my musical artists i work with! they get to take their sponges and products home and many artists have not used elf and have thanked me profousely for turning them on to elf! :) yes!

Goof-Proof cheekbone highlighting
The blending sponge (as everyone knows), is amazing. I was confused about the highlighting sponge so I contacted ELF chat support (who were EXCELLENT, btw!) and afterwards I was able to do something I, in my decades of playing w face paints, have only been able to previously achieve by painstaking time and attention… apply highlighter along my high, sharp cheekbones without lifting my makeup or getting product *everywhere*. I wish elf included better instructions on the packaging for this highlighter sponge, as a brush and beauty blender girl only, I was totally lost.

Only lasted one use
The sponges itself are good but my sponges got moldy only after one use. It might work for you if you wash it and dry it after each use to prevent molding.

Best Blending Sponge I've Owned
I received this sponge about 3 months ago just before Christmas. My liquid foundation blends in seamlessly, leaving no bare spots or streaking on my nearly 60 yr old skin!! I prep my skin with moisturizer, color corrector and occasionally the pore minimizer. Give it a light spritz and I prefer to add little dots of foundation straight to my skin and blend. During summer I will need to blend 2 foundation colors and will see how it applies straight from the blending sponge.

I bought this duo because all my sponges are WORN OUT. I got just about as much use as I could have gotten out of them. And these sponges are so much better and affordable than all my others! Love them.

It’s ok.
The pink sponge is ok when you run it under water because it expands and doesn’t feel like it’s punching my face. The black I only use for setting my under eye because it doesn’t expand in water nor blend well. I would recommend not getting this though, even when on a tight budget, get a real techniques sponge.

Good product
I bought these today and like them I recommend running water over them before use, so that when you use them they are soft. Also cheap and good quality for low prices expand in water.
