The edges of the tip of the pen, where the ball is located are not smooth enough. Therefore, when you use the gel pen, it makes the scratchy sound on the paper and you cannot use it at an angle. You have to push it at 90° on the surface of the paper. I think they are very cheaply made. The only positive is that the gel colors are pretty.

The glitter pens are the best, they glide great, and don’t bleed. The solid colors don’t glide as well, but the colors are pretty. Great price for what you get. My mil loves these so I bought her more for Christmas.
