Awful, key stuck in lock after 1st use
I should have known the low price was too good to be true; the first time I went to lock the safe the key got stuck in the lock, I can't get the key out and the lock won't turn. Now this will be a pain to return as I don't have the box and it is heavy!

It is recommended to occasionally do this for longer periods. This will balance the humidity difference inside and outside and allow any excess moisture trapped inside to escape.

Beware - awful safe!
Do NOT purchase this safe. I had all of my important documents stored in here (birth certificates, marriage license, passports, social security cards, car titles, etc.) and every single document was damp and moldy. Had to replace all of my documents because they were all destroyed.

Don't buy this for important papers
Bought this for my daughter's dorm room. They only thing she kept in it was her passport. When we opened it this week when we moved her out, her passport was covered in MOLD! The dry pack thing was in there, too, and no moisture at all.

Poor quality, wouldn't recommend
It doesn't even close all the way so it's basically useless as a waterproof/fireproof safe. Also you can fit a credit card in the opening even when locked, so I'm assuming picking the lock is very easy.

Worst safe ever, got broken into like nothing!All stuff are moldy and damp!! Would recommend something else! Not reliable and such a disappointment!

I bought this item as I needed to store my documents, and I have loved it so far. It's easy to lock, was great for the price, and it's not too heavy. It can store quite a bit, but it all has to be folded. If you only need to keep things like passports, social security cards, and important letters, this would work for you.
