Q: Can they both be used at the beach, ie submersed in salt water?

A: Hi Forest1 - Thanks for your question! Bothe the Bounty Hunter Quick Silver and Junior can absolutely be used at the beach! the Quick Silver features a waterproof coil that can be submerged in shallow water, the junior features a water resistant coil that is not recommended to be submerged. A: Hi Anoymous - Thanks for your question! The Bounty Hunter Quick Silver Will detect coins up to 8 inches and larger items up to 3 feet. The Bounty Hunter Junior will detect coins up to 5 inches and larger items up to 2 feet. I hope this helps!
