It deflates easily and you need to allow time to try before packing it away. I liked it for the low cost and ease of transportation, carrying, and storage. For reference, I am a 60 year old lady in decent shape and drive a Mini Cooper, so storage is at a premium.

5 years... and still going!!!
I bought 2 K1 Challenger kayaks 2020 at the height of the pandemic. We live in an apartment so we have limited storage. We have used them every summer while camping at Lake George, and LI Bay. We play beach ball and frisbee while on these kayaks (and SUPs). Unbelievably, these low-cost kayaks are still working like new even after 5 years!!! Great memories!!!

I purchased this kayak four years ago, it was my first (and only) kayak I had ever purchased and I loved it. It was so easy to manually pump up, lightweight, and storage is a dream. This is great if you not wanting a hard shell that is heavy to put up on top of your car, and since I am a single person, that did not appeal to me. So this was a fantastic solution. I believe that since using an electric pump, I was not careful enough and likely over inflated it, that and that fact that I never used a protectant, it degraded the material. It has seen a lot of sunshine in the last four years. So I will be ordering a few more, a one person, and a two person kayak. Thanks for a great product.

easy to set up
i bought 2 kayaks and we love them, we had a sun dolphin kayak and it was a pain! storring,transporting and carrying to the lake. These store easy in the car and inflate real fast. Even if they dont last for years the price is great and I believe people need to fold them up with care.

Used my most recent kayak 5 times and it split have the exact same hole/ tear as a few others I have seen 😢

Fun while it lasted (used 10 times)
Worked fine as long as it lasted. Just under 3 years old but I've only used it less than 10 times. Unpacked it for its third season and the bottom wouldn't hold air. I found a hole at the corner of one of the channels that runs along the bottom. Although the plastic is fairly thick everywhere else, here it's been molded to form a channel and that's right where the hole is. Not a puncture but a tear because the material is weak. I used their flimsy patch but that was a joke. Then I tried a sturdier patch but because the hole is on a curved seam it didn't hold either. I should have spent double to get a real (cheap) kayak that would last more than ten outings. The 90 day warranty should tell you something.

Too Small
When it comes to inflatables intex is my brand, I have had 2 excursions kayaks and they have been perfect, yet got me this one and I’m 5.9” and feel like 7’ in this 1/2 person kayak, it is so small that I put my wet bag on top of the net and might as well put it in my lap since it was on my legs the whole time, I even tried it with no seat and same issue… what can I say: it runs in small size?

Do not lean to the left or to the right
So many issues, but the most important is, you cannot lean slightly to the left or to the right, it's very unstable. No matter how much you inflate the chair, you cannot lean back. I am a woman 5'8"- 150 pounds. Seasoned kayaker. The directions were horrible so it took a little while to figure it out. But that's nothing compared to feeling unstable while kayaking There was no wind and I was on a lake, I can't imagine if if there was wind.

Love them!
My wife and I bought two of these inflatable kayaks a few years ago and they have been incredible. Extremely durable and easy to transport in our small cars. We’ve had some awesome times on the lakes around here in western North Carolina. Ours came with manual hand pumps, which actually work really really well, but we did get a powered pump to fill it most of the way, before finishing off with the hand pump. It’s super convenient that our intex mattress that we bring camping uses the same size air pump. The only issue we’ve had is trying to fit them back into the carrying bags, but we have the same issue with pretty much anything portable.

Convenient and comfortable!
Bought my kayak four years ago and it’s still up to standard with all parts working. I have used it every summer so have re-inflated it without issue. Love how easy it is to transport! I will bring it into the house this winter as a critter has chewed through my inflatable seat, however. I may re-order one. The only quirky part is removing the rudder. I can’t seem to access an online manual for this.

Great value!
I was looking for a one person inflatable kayak to take out on local lakes and ponds. This kayak is easy to inflate and carry. It is stable in the water and I was able to take out my camera for a couple of bird shots right from the boat. It is ideal for the beginner kayaker or someone who needs an inflatable for light use.

Great bargain for what it is
Intex Challenger K1 is great for just getting out on the water and relaxing. It's fun to go exploring small lakes, places with no current and no wind. Paddling far out on a lake can become an exhausting struggle against the wind if weather changes. (Yeah, I did that and got away with it, wouldn't do it again.) This kayak is sorta midway between a real kayak and a pool toy. Paddling hard with this kayak is just frustrating. It changes direction with every stroke, and won't go fast. You won't be gliding along, perfecting your paddle stroke. So, don't paddle hard. Don't expect to go distance, just go far enough to enjoy relaxing on the water. Used this way, lotsa fun per dollar, a great bargain.

Easy to setup, paddle, pump, bag included
Once I did a dry-run in the front yard, the next setup was probably 10 minutes. There are only 2 sections to inflate. It did not lose any air during use. I recommend the fin if you can use it: we launched in super-shallow water so we did not use it, so it was difficult to keep moving straight. The instructions were limited, so it took a bit of figuring out the first time to understand how to get the seats oriented correctly and get the seat backs to stand-up properly. I was unclear where the round grommets on the paddles go but it didn't seem to matter. Don't lose the clear flexible ruler that is used to check for proper inflation level! I pumped too rigorously the first time and the housing of the inflator popped-off, but it was undamaged - just screw it back on. (see image) Avoid this by screwing it on tightly before pumping and don't pull too hard at the end of the up motion. This is not too heavy for an adult to carry a pretty significant distance. I wore the bag like a backpack, although I might widen the straps so it is more comfortable on the hike. It was a bit hard to get all the water out before deflating. All parts fit into the provided bag quite easily.

I've been asked so many times and promoted this kayak everywhere I go that I decided to share my satisfaction and passion for the joy it brings me! It is so practical! It comes in a bag but I don't even put the kayak back in the bag. I used it to put my lifejacket, my safety kit and the pump. I wanted to make it as easy as going for a coffee! So I fold it and put it in my trunk so no worries about installing a kayak on top of my car like I would have to do with a non inflatable! If you have no place to store it at home, it fit under your bed! It takes a couple of minutes to inflate each of both chambers of the kayak. Easy and light to carry. You are ready to go! I would advise to check the weather as I use this kayak on calm water. The only reason I did not give 5* is I now have 3 kayaks because one of them puncture and they are a little bit challenging to patch so I bought another one. I would encourage the company to improve the patch kit :) Regardless, this kayak is so much fun to use at a very affordable price. Thank you for creating and selling such a product! My friend bought 2 already and more people are interested!

We bought one to try it out, and then bought a second (especially since the price is so reasonable). We’ve had a lot of fun and no issues. My husband and I both fit in one or me and my two kids (works really well since the front seat is optional). I was also able to carry it and go out by myself no problem. It’s so fast and easy to set them up! A bit of work to dry it and get it folded back up but definitely worth it for the overall convenience.

these kayaks are excellent. very well made and sturdy. I've used in a calm pond, a lagoon and in the ocean. super easy for one person to pump up and set up. only issue is I haven't quite figured out how to fully dry the inside before I return in to the storage bag but not an issue. love it!

Great Kayak
Buying this kayak was the best decision. it's light enough for me to carry myself and folds up very compactly. Since buying the the first one, I bought two more for friends. I have not had any issues with it at all. I take it on a local lake. it's really a lot of fun and super relaxing.
