  • A: For all of you who think those answers are "cute" ... the reason for the question is that non-stick coatings, when heated, can create fumes which are deadly to birds. That said, ceramic heaters, because they lack the metal coils, do not have that type of coating.

Great space heater for a small home during winter .. got two and it keep everything working properly .. the heat pump didn’t stop working like two years.. some times u have to move em around when it gets real cold I didn’t have no 65 degree house .. thanks target and black and decker .. my heat bill was 280. During coldest points .. stops running with the slightest tilt. I have even dropped it and still runs perfect .. it even has just a fan to move air.. and thermostat works great .. can’t say enough can’t go wrong 2 heat settings one fan speed .. 2 heat settings the cats love it as. Much as I do .. they hog the heaters it’s so cute.. these are our little fire places..

Doesn't last

This heater is NOT BUILT TO LAST. After a few months use, its strength reduces to almost nothing. It's not even enough to heat my extremely tiny bedroom. If you just need something for a couple months and then toss it, it's fine for that. Basically this is a disposable heater. I've had about 10 of these. Not worth it
