Just what a needed!
Was on sale, which made it impossible to pass and I was lookiing for something under $10 and needed a replacement ASAP, it was shipped 3 days earlier than expected with standard shipping, which was perfect. When it arrived, there wasn't much to the packaging, which made me skeptical about the quality, since it said premium. So, I was worried that 6 ft wasn't enough from TV to device, but it was, I had so much slack on my last cable. At any rate, the cable did have the feel and build quality of premium label. My last cable did not have the thickness of this one, which led me to believe why it started to fail because at where the plug meets the wire, caused intermittent connection, I don't think this will happen with this cable due to the inability to bend at that point. Although, my Sony cable lasted 18 years which wasn't premium built, so maybe I got my full use out of it, hopefully this one will last as long or longer.

Flimsy Audio Jewelry
This audio cable outwardly looks impressive but optical cables do not need better shielding. They are just bulkier and more difficult to work with. Furthermore, the ends on my mine kept coming off (something that never happened with the less expensive cables) and eventually became unusable. The less-expensive cables Monoprice offers are actually more reliable and less difficult to work with. I cannot recommend these.

Optical is definitely on the table
You can't go wrong with monoprice or toslink. Too bad my Samsung ust laser projector to Monolith MTM-100 powered speakers only supports passthrough on the hdmi earc port. Love that toslink "click."

Simple to use and just works.
Worked well. Very sturdy. Would definitely buy again. Was used to connect HDTV to a AV receiver with no HDMI input. I?m not sure how to measure /compare but the sound but this works well and on Klipsch RP 7.1 speakers is super.

High Quality Product
I ordered 2 of these fine cables. They?re a very high quality product, extra heavy duty. The one I previously had was accidentally damaged so I needed a replacement, and it?s always nice to have an extra one on hand.

Superb build quality and function
Solid build, flexible, durable, good tight fit. Build quality really is exceptional. As far as I can tell it?s shielding to avoid interference is top notch which in most scenarios isn?t an issue anyways. For those wondering about sound quality of course it?s perfect but it?s a digital interface. The cheapest optic line will sound exactly the same as the most expensive over short runs assuming there?s nothing to interfere with the signal as in most cases. Of course with analog cables quality is very important but not with digital. The reason to buy these is they should last longer, not slip out as easily as some others and give you peace of mind nothing?s interfering, it?s pure signal and the price is right. These are super high quality lines for the price of cheapies. Thank you MonoPrice

Great Product at a Great Price
I've tried other Toslink cables and these are the best by far for the price. I won't buy them anywhere else now.

was not expecting this cable to be as solid as it was for the price. WOW it's well built, solid ends (metal) and a smooth grey jacket over cable. monoprice quality once again

6ft Premium Optical Toslink
I ordered this cable in 2011, it lasted until recently 2021, but the plastic connector sleeve disintegrated inside of the female connector on my TV. Monoprice has honored the warranty and will replace the cable, which is presently not in stock.

Great cables at a great price point.
The spdif and interconnect cables that, I purchased from monoprice were of a high standard of quality and once connected, I immediately could detect a difference in sound quality.

Amazing quality
Great thickness and quality build. Thickness definitely helps with keeping the optical from taking any sharp bends. Excellent price point for the value too. 100% recommend.

Beautiful, but over engineering produced a flaw
This cable is beautiful and the tiny protective caps are great. They are attached, so they won't get lost. The problem I ran into was that the heads have a huge hard square piece that really gets in the way. I had bought it to replace an existing cable that was a bit too short, but the big square heads prevent this cable from plugging into my TV. It will start to go in, but can't lock in because the head catches around the TVs connector. I was able to use this cable in another location, but if your application has a tight connection area, then pass on this cable, or be ready to send it back.

Finally a cable that snaps in and stays secure.
This is a well made Toslink cable. I have been searching for a cable that fit into my DAC well and finally found one. I have tried a number of cables and never found one that I can feel actually "snap in". It stays in securely and looks cool to boot.

...Never thought I'd go back to S/PDIF
I haven't used one of these cords in well over 15yrs, but had to get one to test out why my audio was glitching on my PC via the HDMI cord... Luckily this S/PDIF fixed my audio issue, and now am sending the HDMI (picture) straight to my projector, while this S/PDIF (audio) cord goes to the receiver.
