Description

The 3.5mm (1/8 inch) stereo TRS connector is more commonly known as the Headphone Jack on portable mp3 players and mobile phones. This cable features a male 3.5mm stereo (TRS) plug on one end and a female 3.5mm stereo jack on the other end, each with molded connector housings and strain relief boots. Each connector is gold-plated to ensure smooth, corrosion-free connections. The cable is made of heavy-duty coaxial cable for each conductor. The conductors are 22AWG and each conductor is shield to prevent EMI or RFI interference from entering your audio system. The cable is 12mm x 6mm thick, while the connector housings are 41mm long x 15mm diameter. Because of their size and weight these cables are best suited for more permanent connections, such as from your PC to your sound system.     This is a really strange cable

    It's WAY heavier than it needs to be and is a weird double cable pair that is difficult to use as a headphone extension.

    Very solid cable

    Excellent cable, incredibly thick and probably a bit overkill for most set ups, but if you're getting any noise in a microphone or headphone cables, this should fix it for you without having to resort to routing the microphone wire away from all powered cables and sources of noise. Absolutely can't beat the price:quality here.

    Faulty Cable

    While this is an apparently heavy-duty stereo cable, it was only transmitting sound on one of the 2 channels. The company is readily sending a replacement. Hopefully this is not a common occurrence.

    I guess it should be a warning when a cable of this size is only $5, but it's total junk. I needed an headphone extension cable. The first one I bought degraded the sound from the source (TV, then laptop) so badly that I could barely hear anything from my headphones. I spoke with Mono's tech support, who suggested the cable was "too long for your application" but another was sent out free of charge. Second one just like the first. While Mono's service was great, this product is junk, and I'm out $5. Oh well, I should have read the other reviews on this cable. (PS: I purchased another extension cable from another online retailer and it worked just fine, so it was't my "application.") Rating: 0 stars.

    Great quality; Doesn't work with headsets.

    These are FANTASTIC cables, HOWEVER they can only be used with 3-prong stereo 1/8" connectors! Connecting a 4-prong connector (headsets with microphone) results in mono audio. You'll need an adapter or a different cable for headsets.

    Good thick cable covering

    I use this cable to listen to my tv. I had a cable with a thinner covering; but, it seemed like the wiring broke inside very easily without much bending or moving. This cable is much sturdier.

    got 3 bad ones in early 2020

    Monoprice's great service replaced this a couple of times. I think it had bad connectors. Kept receiving new ones DOA. Now I am in possession of 4 bad ones. The first worked great for 1 year. I have always had good luck with monoprice I hope they resolve this.

    Sturdy, thick cable -- feels like quality. 6ft was perfect for me, and provides a perfect fit on both M and F hookups. Was recommended this for good audio quality, not disappointed. Tracking # system was a bit wacky, but standard shipping only took a week to arrive.

    Seems extremely durable but it is not.

    I used it only a few times. When I first received it, it appeared extremely sturdy and the audio output was very clear. After only using it a few times, the audio has deteriorated immensely after verifying on multiple devices. I would not recommend.
