Learning Resources Snap n Learn Letter Llamas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 2 year old niece was attracted to the bright colors and fun animal. My six year old nephew was more interested in thr letter. Both had fun trying it out, but quickly got over it. Will give it another shot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is fun and entertaining and helps to teach kids their alphabet. Each llama is broken up info two pieces. Child has to be able to match up lower case letter with upper case letter. The kids get a kick out of who can do it the fastest. They've made a game out of it. It's really helped my pre k student and three year old learn his alphabet in a fun way.

He enjoyed pulling them apart and putting them back together, as well as taking them in and out of the bucket. The only thing I would change is that all the llamas would be different colors to really help the educational aspect of knowing the same colors go with the same letters. Other than that, it's been a great activity to keep this 18 month old entertained!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to use the snap letters. My kids 8,5 and 2 all wanted to take part. The 2 year old didn't fully understand matching the letters but worked with her older siblings. I like that each part can match with any part. This forces the child to use the letters to make the right matched versus just guessing. I also appreciate how sturdy the pieces feel. The fact each side has a different letter can be confusing for kids but is a great opportunity for problem solving. I could see using this game as a self guided or small group activity in a preschool classroom. An expansion activity could include having children identify words that start with the letter

My son is 2 and you could see the concentration to match by letter, color & ensure the llamas could stand. Fun but only entertained him for a short while. Some confusion because there are 2 sets of letters on one Llama. I do appreciate that it makes the toy have less pieces though! Would definitely recommend. Covers fine motor skills, alphabet and color matching.

This was a fun way to introduce him to uppercase and lowercase letters by matching the two halves of the llama together. It helps that there are different colors so that he can narrow down the group of letters to choose the correct match from. His big brother actually wanted to join in on the fun and help teach his little brother the letters in each of our names. The llamas themselves are very cute and brightly colored. They are easy to pull apart and snap together. My 20 month old daughter had fun just matching llama butts to llama heads! We are using them to practice saying colors with her. This is a very versatile educational toy that can help with early vocabulary and fine motor skills with toddlers, letter identification and sounds with preschool age kids, and can bring older siblings together for a fun family activity. 26 "pieces" equals only 13 letters!! Not even the full alphabet, and not even ones that can go in order. Very random and disappointing.

This set contains only 13 letters. It does contain lots of clear filler plastic. The packaging appears large enough to contain llamas that represent each letter. This item is misleading and useless from the perspective of learning letters or matching upper and lower case letters. I am very disappointed.

They work well and seem sturdy.

Misleading- I purchased thinking there were 26 lamas - but its 13 llamas = 26 pieces. I’m disappointed because it makes it confusing when trying to teach letters and they’re different on each side of the llama. Also the connection between the pieces is bad, because its round the two pieces spin and don’t always stay in place; I foresee it being a problem of the pieces not sticking together. Not worth the price, should be a $8 buy not $17!! 2 stars because my kid still likes playing with them.

Bought this for my Daughter. I gave a 3 star becuase i believe that they needs 26 Llama not double sided alphabet. My daughter went for the letters she knew. Basically the other letters on the side she just ignore. Not much of a learning practice if she ignore the letters that they dont know.

Whether it's the color or the letters or that they fit perfectly in toddler/preschooler hands or just that the llamas are so irresistible, this toy was a success from every point of view. They are durable and well-made and thoughtfully designed.
