A: We do not recommend machine washing this item. We suggest hand washing the towel in warm water( not hot ) with gentle soap. Hang to dry.

It's tough finding something that really scrubs into the skin, so I was happy to see that this does just that. As others have said, though, it's definitely not loofah, it's a plastic mesh, but it works about as well as mesh covered sponges.
