Many products that are sold and distributed from California are required to display this warning on most packaging. I wanted a nice looking wooden hamper and purchased this one. It needs to be assembled and we found that the dowels that are provided don't fit in the holes and one of the side boards is so warped that there is a 3/4 inch gap where you can see both the dowel and the laundry inside. For nearly $100 that is not acceptable, It's being returned.

Easy to assemble, took no more than 15 minutes. Quality seems great especially for the price, does have a slight spray paint smell when unboxing though. Smell dissappeared after a day though! Overall for the price, very satisfied.

The hamper is a beautiful black with just enough sheen to be elegant. It’s sturdy and holds up to our cats sitting on it - a huge plus. The only fly in the ointment is that it smells BAD when you first get it. It took about a week for the heavy paint fumes to wear off, but the bag inside still smells heavily of plastic.
