Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract Litter - 20lbs

This litter is fantastic. My cat was peeing all over. The house would not pee in the litter box I bought this, and she immediately started peeing in the litter box and has not peed in the house since I highly recommend it.

This litter did not work for my cat. She continues to poop by the door and since switching to this she has even peed in that same spot. (Had never peed until switching) Recently having a baby she is not happy that she doesn’t get all the attention anymore. I have tried many different litters and boxes. She uses the box most of the time so I had high hopes this litter would solve the issue and she would go back to using it 100% of the time again. Disappointed :(

My male cat had been pooping on the carpet in the basement. We tried different things to get him to stop, but nothing seemed to work. Found this when researching what to do and bought it immediately along with a bigger litter box. No more poop on the carpet! He started using it right away. I am so relieved! I thought I was going to have to make him an outdoor cat.

My cat is almost 4 years old and has, for the majority of his lifespan, preferred to poop on bath rugs and the floor. I couldn’t figure out the cause of his aversion; I tried everything to resolve his issues and nothing worked for more than a week or two. Eventually I accepted that I just had to force him into his litter box once every 24 hours and not let him leave until he’d pooped. When he upgraded his bathroom to the living room couch and armchair, I had to do SOMETHING to stop him. I was aware of this litter but I didn’t want to use it because Precious Cat Ultra has no odor control and weak clumping. Maybe my little guy’s chemistry is out of whack, but it’s a GROSS litter in comparison to Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal or Okocat Super Soft. I decided to give this a try when I dumped a ton of Cat Attract powder into his old litter and he started using it properly. My cat hasn’t pooped or attempted to poop anywhere but the litter box since I switched him to this litter. However, I started mixing his old litter into it to use that up, and he tried to poop on the furniture once the amount of Cat Attract apparently wasn’t sufficient. This was over a month after the switch, so he’s not going to be one of those “my cat used this for a week and remembered how to use the litter box forever” success stories. The litter WORKS. The cat is only eliminating in the litter box. However, Cat Attract has no odor control (it actually seems to make the smell of pee STRONGER) and the clumps are miserable, enormous chunks of sludge that stick to the box like cement but crumble and spread everywhere when scooped. I hate using Dr Elsey’s litter, but I hate cleaning poop off of my living room furniture every single day even more.

I absolutely love using this liter that has helped my troubled cats to use the liter and not anywhere else. Highly recommend but wish target carried the bigger 40lb bags, other than that.. give it a try!

I love the litter but the boxes are always damaged. Litter is every where. I have to keep it in a plastic bag or it’s all over the place. Every time!
