Battery only lasts about 10 mins

I purchased a remote control car for my son for Valentine’s Day. It’s from one of his favorite movies, Cars. While he absolutely loves the car, the battery dies in under 15 minutes, even after being charged overnight. He even asked me if there was anything I could do to make it last longer. Now I’m torn between returning it or keeping a moderately expensive toy that doesn’t hold a charge for very long.

Goods: The car actually goes pretty fast and controls well for the size and price of it. It's also easy to take apart if you needed to. Bads: Like others, I had issues with the electronics of it. The front wheels were no longer turning, but I could move forward. I assumed the turning servos were shot. I took it apart and it looks like the driver chip for the servos shorted. The copper pad completely came off the solder mask, so the entire board needs to be replaced. Not sure if the components are improperly sized, if there was a bad solder point. We've not put that many hours into this car... It shouldn't be dead this early. Especially with the price tag.

The truck runs well, but the Lightning McQueen figure itself is made of very light and flimsy plastic, like a 1mm plastic. It bends and breaks super easily, it broke about 2 weeks after we got it.

Battery lasts 30 minutes to an hour, but it has a lot of power. It can get through well maintained grass/dirt. It goes very fast on sidewalks and smooth pavement. Has good traction but it does only move by the back wheels. The front wheels turn to move the car in different directions. Not sure how long it takes to fully charge, but I just leave it to charge over night so it's ready for him the next time I take him outside to play with it. Overall, it's worth the price. It's a cool toy and surprisingly durable despite how flimsy it is. I'm assuming it's flimsy to keep the car lightweight and moving when being used. I highly recommend for what you pay, especially with it being a Disney Cars Lightening McQueen toy.

First of all - my son loved this and was enjoying learning how to drive it. Excellent choice to entertain and tire out a toddler! He played with it for two weeks when I walked past it one morning (sitting on the ground, not charging) and I smelled burning. Turns out smoke was coming out of the hole where the wire connects to the battery. Luckily we caught it and put it outside. Returned it to target but got merchandise credit since it is a “non returnable” item. Not worth it. But from a more reputable RC brand. 0/10. We are lucky our house didn’t burn down.

My grandson loved it. Extremely easy for him to operate.

battery doesn't last and doesn't go fast at all. not recommended for grass. if my son wasn't a huge Lightning McQueen fan I would return it.

Was delivered when promised. Good quality product, worked as expected.

Used only 1-2 times then something snap and stop working now

Not worth the money at all. Feels incredibly cheap & flimsy. Did not work upon taking out of the box. Let it charge for an hour and it still didn’t work. The only thing that happens is two wheels move, car stays still.

my 5 and 7 year old love this. charge lasts an hour or so.

Every bit as fun as it looks! My 5 year old loves it! Seems pretty sturdy as she has already crashed it a few times and her dad even drove it down the stairs…. But it looks good as new! Like that it has different speed settings. It is really easy to charge.

My grandson will love this!! Hopefully it works on Christmas morning!!
