Blue Runner Creole Gumbo Base - 25oz

Our traditional Creole Chicken and Sausage Gumbo Base starts with a roux and ends with a smile. In fact, people will ask if you spent all day on it! Just open up a can, add meat, and you have a delicious pot of Creole gumbo not all that different from what our Louisiana grandmas used to take hours to make. It’s great for making gumbo with leftover turkey during the holidays as well.
Shake can before opening. In a stock pot, heat Blue Runner Creole Chicken and Sausage Gumbo Base to a boil. Reduce heat. Add pre-cooked chicken or poultry and sausage and continue to simmer for 3-5 minutes until meat reaches desired temperature. Serve over steamed rice. This 25-ounce can yields 6 servings.
