Description
The Worx Nitro 40V Power Share 16” Cordless Chain Saw with Brushless Motor was developed to provide greater performance without all the drawbacks of using a gas-powered tool. 40V of power and a high-efficiency brushless motor combine to spin the high-speed 16” chain at up to 59 ft./s., but at a fraction of the cost of operating a gas-powered chain saw over its lifetime. Battery powered chain saws are less expensive to power and maintain, and are cleaner than gas-powered tools. They’re designed for professional use or for advanced DIY-ers. With the Nitro 40V Chain Saw you can cut up to 30” diameter logs that are on the ground or 15” diameter trees and limbs that are still standing. The one-touch tool-less tension system prevents the chain from overtightening and the automatic chain lubrication feature ensures you’ll always have a well-oiled chain which increases the life of both the bar and the chain. The chain pitch is 3/8 in. and this battery powered chain saw weighs only 15.3 lbs. with the batteries installed and 12.4 lbs. bare. (That’s light for a chain saw when compared to older, traditional models.) It’s perfect for residential home flippers or property owners that need to clear land or chop up fallen tree limbs after a storm. It’s great for disaster clean-up crews, or forestry, nature preserve, and wildlife staff.

I bought a 16" a few years ago it started out ok. But now I can't keep chain on for more then 3 cuts then it jumps off. I am now getting ready to throw it in the trash. The way you have to tighten the is not good it makes it too hard to put the chain back on. enough said

Chain came off after 1 minute of use. I read other reviews about the chain coming off and now it happened to me. Not happy with this chainsaw.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to cut down a cherry tree. My gas chain saw had difficulty cutting the tree. I started using my Worx chainsaw which did an awesome job. It cut the tree quickly and quietly which made the neighbors happy.

This has the power you need for even the toughest jobs. Great investment. It’s lightweight but strong and built to last. I’m very pleased. Side note: Still holding out for more uses with the basecamp…

This saw has plenty of power and easy to use. It's not as heavy as my other 16" chainsaw. Batteries still had plenty of charge left when I finished clearing the area.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Saw worked well right out of the box. The chain bar set up they give you socks. Best to change that setup to an Oregon chain bar as I did. After the switch cut 3/4 of cord mixed hardwood on a single 2 battery full charge. Noted is the saw is very quick to cutting speed on trigger pull which helps getting things cut. The negative with that is you may not need that when twig trimming-(no easing in or out of a cut). The saw is not metal so deep woods cutting saw its not. But more than enough for everything else especially around the house. I would recommend this saw - no doubt.
One of (If not the best) saw on the market.

Purchased a week after receiving the cordless 10 saw. Worx chainsaws are one of the best. Took to the trees the day it was delivered. This 16 inch saw did far and above what I needed it to do. Cut 14-16 inch tree with ease. Ego has competition. This 16 inch chainsaw is hard to put down. Worx has done it. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have not cut much wood yet but I have been cutting brush and the chain has came off at least 4 times. I can see that the base of the bar is not cut wide enough when I put the chain back on hopefully this will correct itself in time. I have survived on wood heat for over a decade and I plenty of experience with chainsaws. For now I will play wait and see, but I ain't happy so far.

Hello Valued Customer! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and review. One way to help alleviate the issue is to take the bar and chain off of the tool, then reassemble it to make sure it tightly in place. After you place the bar and chain on the tool, pull the bar outwards (away from the motor) and then start twisting the auto tension knob. As you tighten the knob, lift the tip of the bar at a slight upwards angle. Once fully tightened, let go of the bar and check the tension in the chain. Tipping the bar at an upward angle as you tighten it allows for added tension and typically resolves any issues with the chain popping off.

I like the simplicity of charging a battery instead of dragging around a cord or pull start. I think I have already submitted a review on this saw.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this a few weeks ago and put it to use immediately clearing up downed fir and cherry trees up to 24 inches in diameter that had fallen last winter. It is lighter than our gas-powered chainsaw that is only 14 inches and much easier and fun to use. The batteries lasted longer than I expected and about as long as I wanted to work at a stretch (about 2 hours).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old gas mower was just needing too much maintenance, blowing tons of smoke etc even after a tune up. I was a little leery at first of going electric but this thing just rips. Really amazing, highly recommended
