Q: My wife has Parkinson's and can't stand for long. I need something for her to lean on when getting her off the toilet while I pull up her clothes. Will this support her? And how wide/long is the bar?

  • A: Thank you for your question! The GoFit GoBarre is designed for fitness activity and stretching and would not be suitable for utilization as a standing up or sitting tool. The bar is 4 feet long.

Q: is this barre stable enough to pull off of when doing Pure Barre type of moves - such as pulling off in a type of seated chair position and raising legs and/or pulsing legs up and down?

  • A: The GoFit GoBarre is not designed to perform the seated chair exercise. With the amount of body weight and force exerted, that activity is best suited for a wall mounted/hard mounted barre. The other 2 exercises mentioned are shown as approved exercises in our GoBarre manual and DVD. The complete video for the GoFit GoBarre's capacity can be seen on YouTube by searching GoFit barre.

Incomplete set

It was just delivered today. I opened the package and all the large parts like the frame and the wood bar are in the package, but there are no bolts or anyway to assemble. In addition to that the ball, the band, the book, and DVD are missing. So I got a heavy box with scrap metal and a piece of wood.

Pros & Cons

This is great for stretching, ballet or workouts. It’s super easy to put together only took 10 minutes. The adjustable height is very easy to adjust. I’m only giving it 4 stars because it’s not as sturdy as I’d like. I don’t put a lot of weight on it and it tips foward. Be extra cautious when using .

Great quality barre, perfect for my needs. Love that it is ADJUSTABLE, because I’m 5 feet tall and needed something to accommodate that. Only issue is that it was missing the workout dvd, which I probably wouldn’t have used, but still, I did pay for the kit which was supposed to include the dvd. Otherwise, it’s perfect and the price point was much more reasonable than similar products. Oh, and my 2 year old likes to try and swing on it- which isn’t recommended, but speaks to its durability!

Extremely stable and sturdy, no wobbling at all. Much more stable than other ballet bars we have tried. The wood bar is not finished wood, and the screw holes are not quite deep enough for flush screws but they are all the way at each end so not a problem for my use.

I recently got my ballet bar and I love the quality and the conveience of having this work-out apparatus in my home. I put the bar together myself and I only spent about 30minutes in total time. One person stated it did not come with instructions. The instructions are in the laminated booklet, but anyone could put this item together minus instructions. I also read some people were missing the other items in the set. I received all the items and the exterior and interior boxes were prestine.

I didn't know what to expect when I purchased this kit. Well, I am hooked, it's easy to assemble great instructions. Plus, I really like the instructor. I do yoga and pilates, this just kicks it up a notch. You do see results in the all over toning of the core and body.

Pluses: very solid product. Legs are heavy so it's not going to tumble. Durable and solid. Easily and quickly adjusts. The legs aren't fixed at parallel and can be set at angles which proved useful. I imagine I'll be getting years of use out of it.Minuses: it's not as long as you think it is. The box pictures are subtly misleading. It's long enough though for most purposes at 48 inches. Also, the screws in the barre itself are meant to be flush with the wood but are not quite milled that way. They don't protrude enough to injure most likely, but I'm taking no chances with a foot or ankle on them. Otherwise, the build quality is high.

I purchased this just for the bar so that I can work on my ballet techniques while not in the studio. The other things included are just bonuses. The bar is better quality than I was expecting, very sturdy. I've followed along with a couple of the exercises and they're so so. Not too interesting. Overall, happy with this purchase.

The barre is sturdy and it came with everything listed. I've really enjoyed using all of the equipment, but I use it with workouts that I am able to stream, since we only have DVD players in our computers and it's a hassle. Also, I did sand the bar a little when I put it together because it was a bit rough. Nothing that was a deal breaker, but also a little inconvenient. All in all, I am happy that I purchased this set

All is good with this purchase, except the DVD skips sometimes. Therefore, I will be taking some Barre classes and then use this product at home on the times I can't go to a Barre class. Everything came as listed in the photo and packed very well with a fast delivery.
