Local Storage is Broken, assume you will pay monthly fee
Hard time to get local storage to work and if/when it does the functionality is crippled by design. Not as advertised - avoid.

I am so sorry you are having so much trouble with the setup and utilization of the local storage option for this device. We would love the opportunity to troubleshoot further with you to see if we can resolve this. I personally have this device and have the local storage option setup and it does work as it should for me. If you are using a USB thumb drive with your USB port on the included Sync Module 2, you should have both options listed under storage. The only features that do not work for local storage if you are not a subscriber are the premium options of being able to record in live view mode, person detection mode, and sharing video clips since those are all premium features that are part of the subscription that you get 30 days for free of. The thumb drive is not included. If you are still having troubles though above this then I would recommend contacting Blink Customer Support at 833.392.5465. Blink vs another video doorbell
I purchased 2 video doorbells to compare side by side. What I liked about the Blink video and sync was its fast response time and notification to my smart phone. I also appreciated the link to Alexa and her announcements. What I didn’t like: it was difficult for me to connect to wifi, Alexa, my smart phone, I had to go back through the steps multiple times. I am older (not super tech savvy) and I have slight hearing loss. I found the Blink doorbell was not loud enough to warn me immediately, I had to wait for my smart phone to alert me. I think it is important to research the capabilities of each product and prioritize your needs. I wanted to replace an old standard doorbell. I wasn’t looking for a monitoring system or another monthly charge. I chose to go with the basic eufy video doorbell. Mainly because it was loud enough to hear the actual doorbell but I also am able to record and save video without a monthly fee.

Perfect for security

My family and I have loved the functionality and seemliness to this camera alone that we went and purchased the accompanying cameras and motions sensors and lights that are also on this brand. Monthly prices are also cheaper than anyone elses!

I love the clarity of the video and how easy it was to install. It has pretty good features that allow you to fully customize the way you use your video doorbell. It has amazing picture and I'm really digging how we're able to chit chat with anyone who approaches our door from anywhere... that's right, since the notification comes on my phone I can answer my door from anywhere! Now that is cool. You can hook it up with wire or go like we did and opt for wireless. The module allows for more and you can hear the doorbell anywhere in the home since you can be some distance from it and also have up to 2 years of battery life. That's just a couple features but there's more. It has 1080p HD day and infrared night video and 2- way audio, works with Alexa so you can access live view, receive motion alerts, two-way talk and you can arm and disarm your doorbell and much more! The piece of mind that comes with the Blink Video Doorbell with Sync Module 2 is amazing. It's a comforting feeling knowing my family is safe in Blinks hands!

Great for the price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a video doorbell for the front door, but thought this would be handy to have out at our side door. Everything needed to mount it was included & the setup was fairly easy since I already had an account and a Blink camera set up. It works well when used as a doorbell, although there is a noticeable lag when trying to see the live feed after someone has pushed the button. Not too many people use our side door, so this was not my intended use. I use our side door to let our dogs outside to play in the backyard and do their business. I can get a motion alert with the Blink doorbell when they come back up onto the deck to be let in. That has been really handy & it works well for what we wanted to use it for. I am not sure how long the batteries will last w/ all the motion we have out there, but time will tell. So far it seems to be doing well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have loved having this video doorbell on my home, it has given me peace of mind and made things so much easier. I will say mounting it on brick becomes a bit difficult but not impossible, just need the right tools.
