Scambled eggs and wedding china
My daughter told me about this book and said she laughed out loud several times while reading. That’s all the endorsement I needed. It is a delightful story with an easy to love heroine. Savannah is an editor at a small publishing company but her dream is to write a novel and have it published. She believes her family, sister, mom and dad are not responsive or supportive of her. Her younger sister gets all the attention. At work a new publisher shows up, William Pennington, whose mother is the CEO. Is he going to shake things up? Savannah finds a hidden room upstairs at her work place where old books and ARCs are kept. She has left her manuscript there in a file cabinet. Soon she finds critiques written in black ink in her margins. Critical of her writing and what she needs to do to improve her story is at first off putting. But she soon looks forward to reading the notes as the mystery editor reads more and more. Savannah had her head on straight and was aware of what was important in life. She had a great philosophy and was my favorite character. William was fun to get to know too as well as other minor characters. This was a light, fun novel that I throughly enjoyed. This was a library copy and my review is of my own free will.

Fun read!!
I loved this book so much!! It is unapologetically Hallmark-y (which I LOVE!!), has a great message, made me cry happy tears, and was just plain fun. It was a perfect summer read. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

Delighfully Clever - Book Lovers Romance!
This delightfully imaginative storyline was creative and offers book lovers of all kinds an insightful, often humorous, taste of the publishing world and what happens behind the scenes at a publishing house. My book-loving heart found the setting of a small publisher and the unique exchange of secret notes in the margins of a manuscript to build a love story both brilliant and clever. However, this novel isn't your typical romance or romantic comedy (which I expected)... Instead, Ferguson offers a very slow, but comical, dance with a prominent back story and significant events happening around main character, Savannah Cade, an assistant acquisitions editor for a locally owned publishing house in Nashville. As she seeks to publish her first manuscript, her personal life and work life become increasingly surprising when changes happen all around her, causing her to find a bit of herself in her story’s own main character. Little bits of romance, several amusing predicaments and a bit of mystery is sprinkled throughout, enough to keep me just barely enticed. While always a fan of Ferguson's writing style, it wasn't until about 3/4 of the way through that I really began to enjoy this novel. It suddenly came alive, with more hilarity and romantic spark, which caused me to want to devour the remaining pages, much as I had when reading Ferguson's other books, The Dating Charade and The Cul-De-Sac War, two of my favorite must-read recommendations. Overall, a good read, though in my opinion not as memorable or heartwarming as Ferguson's previous titles. With that said, this novel deserves all it's own merit for setting, clever premise and laughable scenes with relatable main characters and two smile-inducing secondary characters (shout-out to Oswald and Lyla!). I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy clean romance reads. *I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary e-copy of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts below are my own and I was not required to post a positive review.

Pure Delight
This book is pure literary delight! This story checked all the right boxes for me and left me wanting more. Savannah Cade is an editor at Pennington Publishing working with authors who write non-fiction. But Savannah has a secret love for writing romance. She also has discovered a secret room in the house where the publishing firm is located. When she leaves her manuscript there, it becomes apparent that someone else is also aware of the secret room when she finds all sorts of suggestions in the margins. At first, Savannah's not sure how she feels being on this side of the editing process, but when her own editor tells her all the same advice, she decides to seek out her secret helper. And thus begins a beautiful relationship! Their friendship is adorable, it reminded me of a modern day pen-pal. At the same time, Savannah becomes friends with her new boss. And this leads to a complicated love triangle. This book left me with all the feels...all the good feels! I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.

Clean Romance
Melissa Ferguson is a new-to-me author, and I enjoyed this clean romance. The story follows Assistant Acquisitions Editor for Pennington Publishing, Savannah Cade. Following her is more than a bit like watching a train wreck and not being able to look away! Just when it looks like a new conductor might smooth out the journey, she switches to another track just avoiding jumping the rails. To find out if Savannah ever makes it safely to the station, so to speak, you will have to read Meet Me in the Margins, a trip you will very likely enjoy. I am grateful to have received a complimentary copy of this book from Thomas Nelson without obligation. All opinions expressed here are my own.
