It's extravagantly expensive for a headphone cable, but Monoprice isn't getting fat - the bleeding male mini-XLR connectors are $30/pair, so there may well be $50 parts cost for the cable assembly. Setting aside my pricing grouchiness, this balanced cable completes the M1570C headphones - transforming them from adequate 'big planar' cans when driven single-ended - up towards the empyrean realms inhabited by HiFiman Susvaras or Focal Stellvias. No, the humble 1570C's won't give you the last Erg of Transparency, or the frighteningly palpable sense of presence that's those heavy-hitter's forte' - but they are capable of transporting you up, up, and away - so you can gaze into the playground where the Big Boys gambol - which makes this cable seem almost reasonable for enabling so much.
