Disappointing
Disappointing. I don't love this book or the series. This one, more than the first, just left so much to be desired. I don't understand the love connection. I don't feel invested in the story. It's just disappointing enough that I probably won't read the next one.

Book Review
2.5★/17+/2 Spice I am so conflicted… This sequel suffers terribly from second book syndrome, and yet, I kept going to the end? Just cutting to the chase here, there is absolutely no substance to this book. What the heck happened to the plot? Vanished, poof, gone, that’s what, and the characters have regressed to being one-dimensional. Isolde, all she did was whine and make literally everything about her. Or fight with Adrian. Like dude, you sure you actually love her or is it because she was once your actual true love? Reincarnation can be a brat sometimes. The spicy scenes, although there was a bunch, they seemed so rushed. It went like… Adrian & Isolde fight, make up, and have sexy time. Over and over again. I would love to see more from Adrian. SSC, made this book dual pov, but BARLEY. It was still mostly from Isolde’s point of view. Come on sis, do better. However, I do think SSC, got overwhelmed with this book and trying to finish it in four weeks that she had. There were two points, I almost marked this as DNF, but I had a to know what waited at the end for me. The poor storytelling is annoying, but I guess I’m still invested? I truly don’t know why, if I’m being honest. Here’s to me hoping the next book will be better, but I am now prepared for it to suck or just be like this book.

Scarlett has done it again!
This book was one of my most anticipated reads this year and it did not disappoint. The continuation of Adrian and Isolde’s story was nothing but wonderful. It was frustrating and heartbreaking and spicy and overall beautiful. Scarlett’s writing style is one of my favorites and I just love seeing where she takes her characters. I don’t even know what else to say besides I love Scarlett St Clair and her books with my whole heart. She creates characters and stories that you can’t resist being drawn into. You feel their joy and their pain in every part of you. I am so excited (and nervous) to see how this series will end because that ending 😩 I need book 3 NOW. This series is what got me into Scarlett St Clair so it will forever have a special place in my heart 🖤 I know this is more of a love letter to Scarlett than a review but I don’t care 🙃
