Q: Does it come with a cover for when it's closed?

  • A: Yes there is a cover. It is tan and easy to zipper closed by pulling the string, but when you go to unzip, it’s hard for a short person. It is also difficult to take the cover off as a shorter person, even though there is a rod in the cover to help make it a little easier for putting on and removing.

  • A: Yes! I ordered a navy umbrella and the cover is tan but it still is heavy and dips and ties over the umbrella and pole. Not quite to the bottom so I’m getting a small tarp for extra protection on that area.

  • A: Had umbrella in use for 2mths. Umbrella open only when in use. Had open & quick but mighty burst of wind sent it crashing to the ground bending main arm that opens umbrella. BCP doesn't carry parts

  • A: The umbrella material fades really bad . We owned not even a year and kept inside our basement for storage durning the fall/winder/early spring. We kept covered most days when not in use and it has faded terribly.

  • A: Hello Beth, umbrella fabric is made from a synthetic proprietary fabric that's UV rated and water resistance. Unfortunately, fabric has not been tested for mold/mildew. Nevertheless keeping umbrella open after getting wet shouldn't be a cause of concern.

    This product does not hold up . Bought in July 25 and by end of August looked like it was 10 years old. Fabric faded in that amount of time and kept cover on it when not in used . And is already starting to rip . If I could give it no stars I would very disappointed with the money it cost.

    Overall quality in manufacturing on umbrella is great for price

    This is a great umbrella. Works even in wind. The 10x10 foot canopy works great by day and night. After 1 year, however, the yellow canopy has faded and getting a replacement is vey challenging.

    Great shade, but terribly faded in less than a year.

    We took out of storage to place on our deck and saw how faded it was on top and in some areas in the folds. The cover even tore, like sun damage/rotted. We have had the umbrella for just a year. It has faded terribly. We keep the cover on it most days and bring inside for storage over winter. We love the heavy bottom to keep from toppling over in wind. But the base cover doesn’t fit well and stay on. The crank handle is also rusting. For the expensive price…. Not worth the poor quality.

    Patio umbrella

    Like the umbrella. However box was damaged upon delivery. Not sure if that caused the damage inside or if it was manufactured with a broken part. On the umbrella arm a pin that is rivited was sheared off causing the arm not to be attached. RETURN IS OUT OF THE QUESTION. As you have to cover the return expense yourself. Box is very large and heavy. No way to do it yourself. Was able to repair well enough to use. Just hope it holds up now. Would suggest buying one from the store as to online. And make sure you can return it. We were fortunate this was the only issue.

    Large Umbrella!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were pleasantly surprised at the large size of this freestanding patio umbrella. It was easy to assemble (some portions take 2 people to do) and set up quickly. The ability to rotate it and change the angle is helpful to make sure we have "coverage" from the Sun throughout the day. It does move around in the wind (it is basically a big sail) but the pole stays firm, so I haven't been concerned about it tipping. We haven't tried to use it in strong winds, however.
