Ashley Belote, author-illustrator of Listen Up, Louella and The Me Tree, still has her favorite childhood teddy bear, named Winston. As a kid, she took him everywhere, including into the backyard to make mud pies. Sweet and silly! This is the silly story of a boy who doesn’t want to wash a beloved teddy bear, but it’s also about friendship and overcoming fears and the imaginative lengths kids will go when they are determined. A must-read with young kids who love teddy bears, favorite stuffies, or humor.
