Meeting the Creator
This book is encouraging me to be more intentional in getting my kids out in God’s creation, teaching them more of who God is through His creation. So many times I have such great aspirations, but then fall short as I don’t know where to start. Eryn does a beautiful job of laying out a path to follow and inspire us.

God is the ultimate Creative
As a homeschool Mama of 3 young boys (6, 3 & 1) we prioritize teaching our kids the Bible, spending time outdoors in nature and lots of reading out loud. "Rooted in Wonder" has helped me be more intentional in regularly making the connection between what I observe in nature and the truth that it all points to Jesus as the ultimate Creative! It urges me to slow down and learn alongside my kids- who are naturally drawn towards the wonder and beauty of a ladybug, the majesty of a bald eagle, the intrigue of a bird building a nest. "Naturalism is an adventure in learning about creation so we can better understand and more deeply know our Creator" - Eryn Lynum Treat yourself to this inspiring resource as we head into spring and many outdoor adventures!

Excellent and practical read!
This book is both practical and inspirational! While I can often time read books like this and end up feeling overwhelmed or like I'm not doing enough for my kids, this book was so refreshing as the author encourages and provides practical "try this" ideas that you can easily implement right away. This is a must read for all mamas who are in the business of raising little disciples!

Very Encouraging
I picked up this book because I wanted practical tips on getting outside with my kids, but it’s so much more than that. It’s full of scripture pointing me to Jesus and the Gospel. Encouragement for my own walk with the Lord. Gentle reminders that of all the blessings of being in nature and witnessing Gods glory in that. On top of all that, the author also gives super practical, bite size ways to get into nature with your kids at the end of every chapter. I highly recommend.

Inspirational Storytelling compelled me to wonder
I love the stories, the subtle learning about creation that is woven through her larger ideas of creation and wonder and passing along a vision of God’s goodness in creation. She weaves the Word and world of God together in a winsome and beautiful way. Great practical ideas. I highly commend it!!

Loved this book...
I have fallen in love with Eryn’s words. The way she writes is so good and this book is exactly what I’ve been looking for. We’ve been spending more time outside in nature as a family and I wanted a way to deepen my kids knowledge not just in nature but also the creator of it all. The step outside portion was an awesome way to help me connect Bible verses and engage my kids in questions that keep them thinking. It also has been such a learning thing for me to. I would recommend this for any family or adult working with kids.

Rooted in Wonder
This book is so lovely. From the beautiful cover and art work to the way she connects God to everything using scripture. My favorite part is the Step Outside application sections at the end of each chapter. Having a “how to apply this and create wonder and connection to God in our children” is so valuable and helps the content come to life!!

Soul Respite!
Nothing but praises and a sigh of relief as this book is everything I’ve been waiting for! For anyone and everyone, it indulges my hunger wanting to teach my kids more and more about who they are and who they were created to be. Rooted in Wonder seamlessly interweaves Truth and what we find in nature/ creation, allowing us to point our children to that connection with their natural curiosity and innate identity we find in nature. Each chapter has a “step outside” section, filled with activities and suggestions of ways for us to see nature in the Bible and see God in nature. Eryn puts into words what we all feel as we step into nature: a soul-refreshing respite and fellowship with our Creator. This is a refreshing, motivating and curiosity-provoking message that nudges and encourages us to go out and explore, pointing to and proving His Word even more- further etching them into our (and our children’s) hearts. My favorite thing as a mother is seeing my kids’ faces light up and their eyes sparkle as they discover something out on one of our adventures- whether hiking in a national park or right in our front yard. Memories with our children in nature take root, grow deep into our hearts and souls and replace any fears or doubts that we may have and tells them without words Truth— that innate knowing deep in us being stirred up again. Creation points to the glorious, awesome, magnificent God who wants to intimately know us and be with us… Emmanuel…. Until Heaven and eternity! Attune yourself in nature, aligning with divine creation and there is no room for lies or “untruths”.

Soul Nurturing, Yet Practical
I'm so thankful have more nature vocabulary and practical tools to use when teaching my children. As a homeschool mom I'm always wanting to highlight God's Truth in all we do. Living in a place where so many people worship the universe and created things, it was so refreshing to read of how to connect creation to THE CREATOR! I love how Eryn, ties every truth about nature back to God and His Word! This book definitely inspired me to be more proactive in teaching my kids about the glory of God through His creation.

Inspiring and crucial perspective on discipling our children through nature!
Eryn’s words are not only beautifully and eloquently put but present such a crucial reminder to all parents that one of the best discipling tools we as Christians have is the outdoors. This read has inspired me to look at my schedule and make more time to be outside with my daughters. As Eryn said it, “God’s glory reflected in creation beckons us to explore further. Surrounded by beauty, we rediscover the faith of a child, fueled by curiosity and rooted in wonder.”

Awe & Wonderment
As a mother and adventurer I am thoroughly enjoying this book. Nature brings forth such wonder of how it is all created and by whom created it all. I have always felt God’s presence out in nature. This book ties what I feel out there together, awe & wonderment. I love that Eryn did research in nature with her family, through her own children’s wonderment of nature in all their adventures. The fact that she used other sources as well, showing how Nature is very connected through God in his creation fascinates me as I am learning things I did not know before. You can clearly see she did her research and did it well. I will be rereading this with my teenagers and taking them on more nature adventures using the book as a guide this time around. Thank you Eryn for connecting the dots of nature to its creator so very clearly.

Love This Book!!
This year winter has been long and I’ve found myself struggling with getting the family outside as much as I’d like to. Then I started reading Rooted in Wonder and it was just what I needed to re-ignite my wonder and excitement for nature (in any weather!). It has encouraged me to remember the holy work we are doing out there as we spend time in nature and point our children to the one who created it all. The “Step Outside” prompts at the end of each chapter has given me so many ideas on ways to enjoy nature together and I love that each one points to the Bible and a truth that can be learned about the one who made us. Highly recommend this book, it’s been a real encouragement to my family!

Reconnect with what really matters
With a teenager who's constantly being pulled by technology, I needed some fresh ideas on how to get her to be more concerned with what was not on the screen than with what was on the screen. I'm so thankful for Eryn's heart to help those of us that so desperately want to disconnect our families from all that isn't real so we can reconnect with what, and Who, is real! I can't wait to take all her wonderful ideas and use them as a launching point to get back outside in a fun and meaningful way!
