Lite-Brite Super Bright HD Pokemon

Christmas gift for our 6 year old. He enjoys making this as he’s a Pokémon fan. It’s like a piece of art work in his room. Also, takes him a bit to complete one templete. Great calm down activity when I see him too wound up.

It needs a cable to stay on (besides the 3 AA batteries it requires) the cable is not included. And it says it in tiny letters at the very bottom of the instructions. The compartment where the batteries goes is really hard to open. Just wouldn’t recommend it. Save your money and spend it on something else

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was meant to receive the Hello Kitty one, but I’m not bothered as the Pikachu one is super cute and I grew up collecting Pokémon cards. My little one was a little annoyed because she loves cats (haha). I have to say that I was probably more excited than her to receive it, as I grew up in the 90s and always wanted one back then. I love this toy. It’s so cute and fun, and very easy to spend a lot of time playing with. The quality is great and the lights are super vibrant. It’s such a creative toy and the possibilities are endless. The templates provide more structured play, and are great to build a feeling of satisfaction at the end. It’s great value for such an interactive toy.

Feels pretty durable for what it is. Only downside is the paper map doesn’t stay well so you have to hold it in place at the beginning. Other than that it works great!

I bought one of these for my son and another for his friend. Both boys had a great time putting the pictures together. The guides were super helpful and I'm sure they will continue to enjoy these over and over! The only thing that frustrated them was how similar some of the colors were. Once that got sorted everything was fine. I would normally think this didn't have a great age range, but even my husband and teenage son got into it after my youngest was done! I also got these on sale, but even the normal price isn't bad.

I had a Lite Brite when I was a kid, and when I saw this one, I wanted my child to experience the same joy I had growing up. It didn't disappoint! At first, the lights may seem a bit dim, but don't get discouraged once your child finishes the entire design, the lights really shine and the creations look amazing. I’m planning to gift this toy for future birthdays to share the fun.
