St. Tropez Tonic Face Drops Self Tanner - 2oz - Ulta Beauty

My skin is light olive. After working my way up to 10 drops, I started applying the serum directly to my face. It’s now been several application applications, and I barely have a hint of colour. Sure I’ll keep trying it, but do I need to go through half a bottle of this expensive serum before it even starts to tint my skin? I guess it’s gradual, but I’m applying it directly to my skin.

Unfortunately, this product is a no for me. I’m used to only needing a couple of drops from other products. I kid you not, I do 10 drops of this for even a subtle change. Not worth the money AT ALL. Try a different brand. Scent is nice and subtle that’s the only pro.

Fantastic product! I mix it with my body lotion and use primarily on my legs for some extra color. If you are already tan or have darker skin naturally, this may not be the product for you. If you have fair skin or a lighter tan, you will love this. I use about 7-8 drops mixed with enough lotion for each leg, maybe 2-3 times per week to keep the color I am looking for. The smell is great. It does smell like self tanner at first, then fades. Plus if you use a lotion that has scent, it will help mask the self tanner scent. Overall, great product. Worth the purchase!

I havent noticed a single difference and ive been using the maximum amount recommended every day since getting it. Ive had it for over a week. I have very fair skin so dont want to use too much

I kept debating on if I should keep this or not as it doesn't appear to tan at all in my opinion. However I do really like this product for the skin care and glow it gives. In the end I have kept this product but not for the tanning aspect. It leaves a nice glow and makes my skin hydrated without breaking me out. Will not purchase again but worth trying when on SALE.

Creams smell so fake and the smell lingers too long. With this, I can add it to my everyday lotion or body oil and get subtle coverage that is well blended and doesn't smell or stain my clothes. I love the face version too!

These tonic glow drops when used with my daily moisturising lotion gave me the best golden bronze natural looking tan. It is best to start off with using a bronzing mousse to give a good quick base tan and then follow up daily with tonic glow drops mixed in with your lotion. Make sure lotion is lightweight and has the necessary firming ingredients to give the best results. I used the Self Tan Express Bronzing Mousse to give a really quick color. This mousse is to be left on for between 1-3 hours before showering off, but I leave on for between 4-6 hours. It is best to exfoliate the day before you apply the mousse. Make sure to use lotion (without drops) after exfolilating all over feet, knees and all dry areas which tend to grab the mousse that can look darker in these areas. If your heels are dry and need attention, make sure to use a pedicure file when exfoliating. I use the double sided self tan mitt (use the St. Tropez one and not a less expensive one, it makes a difference) to apply the mousse. The new St.Tropez Ultimate Tan Body Brush is wonderful for applying the mousse on your knees and all over your feet including in between the toes. The brush has a nice shape to it to help getting beteen the toes. Use a much smaller pump of mousse for your knees and feet so they don't get too dark. The Tan Buildup Remover Buffing Mitt is great for helping to lighly buff off areas which look too dark. Use your daily moisturising lotion mixed with between 2-6 tonic glow drops, depending on your skin type for a light, medium, or dark glow. I use 3-4 drops for a nice golden glow and my legs are usually pasty white. There is no transfer of color to clothing or sheets with either product. Make sure to follow the recommended drying time. Regular exfoliating is needed weekly to help keep the tan looking natural. If tan starts to look patchy and uneven, remove with the buffing mitt and apply new starting with the mousse and follow up with the lotion and drops mixture. This is my third year of self tanning and the Express Bronzing Mousse used with the Tonic Glow Drops (mixed in with lotion) are so much eaiser to use and maintain color along with giving me the best results compared to what I used the first two years of self tanning. My first two years I used the Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mousse along with the Gradual Tan Classic Daily Firming Lotion and I my results were more of an orange looking color. I am so happy with my results using the Express Bronzing Mousse and the Tonic Glow Drops. I highly recommend these two products even if you are a first year self tanner along with the double sided mitt, body brush, and build up buffer mitt to give the best results. You won't be disappointed. The staff at Ulta are wonderful for helping you if you have any questions or need help picking out the right mix of products. Yes the bronzing mousse and tonic glow drops are a little more expensive, but the ease of use and end results are well worth it!

I'm lazy. Almost too lazy to write this, but i wont gatekeep. Been using this for two years now. Add it to your face moisturizer at night, smear it all over your face and neck, wake up glowing. Do it again the next night to get a bit more color. Wont transfer onto your pillow. Does have a slight smell. I dont change my skin routine for this. I use retinol, vitamin c, etc as usual. For body, lightly exfoliate a few days a week too keep the fade even. Days you want to tan, exfoliate harder on ankles, knees, elbows, hands, feet. I break the rules and never wait 24 hours. Im a rebel. I use two pumps Hempz lotion to 7 drops tanner, rub it in your hands and slather it on like you would regular lotion. You cant go wrong. I put it on my feet and knees and elbows and hands. You meed to wash your palms and between tour fingers when done. Then if you want, use a make up brush to get the backs of your hands. Let it bake overnight and yiure good to go in the morning. Foolproof buildable natural looking tan!

I have very acne prone skin and this product did not break me out at all! It leavs a perfect even tan! Loved the color and overall no complaints!

I have a fair complexion and really enjoy this product. In early spring I add a few drops to my moisturizer and have a nice, subtle color. It can be adjusted by adding a few more drops. No significant fragrance which is nice. Also, zero transfer to sheets.

Ok, so i want to love this product, and it probably works fabulously for most people but, i have a naturally dark complexion. It takes an excessive amount to make a real difference for me, and it definitely leaves my face tan and glowing, however the amount i require and the size of the bottle makes it feel too pricy. I also have to be careful at my hair line because it piles up there and gets darker than the rest of my face

Gifted by sttropez. Make sure to apply evenly other than than the shade it left my skin is glowing. I have a Caribbean tan from vacay this just enhanced it. Especially the parts that did not get tan in general

I had high expectations considering the price of this product. The expectations unfortunately, were not met. I applied the product at night hoping to wake up with a beautiful goddess like tan, but instead woke up my normal pale self. Very disappointing.

Almost invisible. It takes a LOT of product to make any significant difference, causing this item to be very expensive.

I used this product and felt like I smelled similar to a wet dog. The palms of my hands are orange and my face turned red. Not for everyone. Glad I tried it and unfortunately not for me :/

Did not work, saw no difference after applying 6 drops two nights with moisturizer. Returning and buying the St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Water Purity Face Mist as I know this product works well and instantly.

I got the sampler size for free with my order of St. Tropez body tanner and I was so glad I did. They're expensive but SO WORTH it. My skin is very pale so I use 2 drops of this on my face directly and rub it all over evenly, and the color gradually develops in about an hour. It's the perfect sun-kissed glow, and I literally don't even have to wear any makeup it makes my skin look so amazing! Absolutely the BEST. The price is the ONLY con.

I have tried many self tanners over the years and none of them do as good of a job like St. Tropez does. It's easy to apply, smooth, and goes on naturally. This product doesn't break my face out and works within a couple of hours.

Works ok on the body, but takes multiple applications to see any sort of difference. As for the face, I would NOT recommend. It essentially gave me a chemical burn on my face that I am still healing from 7 days later.

A lot of the critical reviews are pretty true. The dropper isn't very effective. It's a very gentle tan that requires 2-3 times the recommended amount of product to achieve, which makes it kind of expensive for what it is. However, the pros make it kind of perfect for a specific person (myself included.) The shade of tan is very natural, and it does not streak. The smell is very pleasant and light. It blends in very easily with a thick lotion or body butter. And most importantly, seconds after applying I can jump into my white sheets with no staining. If you're looking for something easy to use and not an jntense tan, this might work perfectly. If you're looking for a more intense bronze, try the foam product.
