Suspenseful beginning but that's where it ended for me
Nothing Ever Happens Here starts off great - I was in such suspense, I really felt like I had finally found a thriller that knows me. But then it stopped. Even when it was supposed to get intense again, nothing matched the beginning. It took me over a month to finish this book and I just was not motivated to pick it up. It was suspenseful at times and there was a mystery that I did not predict the ending to, but there were too many points where I was not interested. The POV of Florence, the older woman, was cute but I think those were the points I was least interested. The ending was completely unrealistic, I was dying to get through it. P.S. Final Fantasy 7 is currently not out on XBOX ::crying emoji:: I really hate when I see a reference to something I'm familiar with but then see the author get it so wrong. Also, it's "Yuffie" not "Ruffie". It's something so easily Google-able. Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
