Yes, for three main reasons: The Screen Size: Most budget Chromebooks have small 11" or 14" screens. This model has a 15.6" display, which is large enough to have your writing document open on one side and your research or class video on the other without squinting. The Keyboard: Because it's a larger laptop, it includes a full-size keyboard with a numeric keypad. This is much more comfortable for long writing sessions than cramped smaller laptops. Its okay for the price

I am writing this review on this laptop now so I guess its good for something. Its pretty dang slow, the range for the Bluetooth is not very far, and the camera quality sucks but what do you expect from a $100 refurbished Acer laptop? If you need something cheap that does laptop things then just do it.

Don't buy refurbished

8 months of use and the laptop's battery is damaged. It does not hold battery unless is plugged into the charger. And while plugged it will not charge either. The battery line stays at under 20%. I guess I learned my lesson of "you get what you pay for". This laptop was the first laptop for my daughter. I didn't want to go over budget.

Dont Purchase As A Gift

I read the reviews and when the box came I opened it, hoping it would be a 2nd box with the laptop inside instead the delivery box was the box and inside was a laptop no case, and the cord at the bottom of the box. It looks refurbished. So if you're considering ordering it as a gift, don't. Target should demand better packaging. Not impressed.....
