A: Yes, Branch Basics can be used on floors! Ideally, always HEPA vacuum floors, especially hardwood, first or use a mop to remove dust and grime and eliminate potential scratching of the floor when damp mopping. Only very diluted solutions of Branch Basics should be used on floors because a more concentrated solution could break down the finish on hardwood, and too strong of a solution will feel sticky. Always test it in an inconspicuous area before cleaning entire floor, and minimize use of the solution on wood floor by spraying the solution onto a slightly damp mop to clean the floor. The breakdown for floors would be: 1 teaspoons Concentrate per gallon of water (16 cups), ½ teaspoon Concentrate per ½ gallon of water (8 cups), ¼ teaspoon Concentrate per ¼ gallon of water (4 cups), or ⅛ teaspoon Concentrate per ⅛ gallon of water (2 cups). A: Hi there, yes! Hi! For cleaning dishes, there are a few options. If you want to soak the dishes you can spray about 10 sprays of the All-Purpose solution or add 1 tsp Concentrate into the sink or mixing bowl. Add hot water, agitate to create suds, soak dishes in solution and then wash. Some people prefer to spray directly onto each dish, leave the room while the product breaks down dirt and grime, then return to simply rinse and wipe dishes clean with a scrub brush or sponge. If you have an empty foaming wash bottle you can use 1 part Concentrate to 4 parts water to make a foaming wash for your hands!

A: Hi Lori. When you are ready to refill your All-Purpose bottle, you can use tap water. Distilled water is great too if that is your preference. Let us know if any other questions come up!

A: Thanks for your question! Since there are so many caveats such as delicate fruits and leafy greens, we cannot control the variable on how much a customer is using. The Concentrate is not a ready to use product for cleaning produce. It’s been perfectly fine to use Branch Basics in the past, but to simplify it in the future, we suggest running water. It is really effective at removing dirt and pesticides on fruits and vegetables. If you want to go an extra step, use vinegar and water. Baking soda is also another great option!

A: HI Mikki. If you have our Bathroom spray, you can use that. Just spay on and let it sit for a while to penetrate down to the surface, and then scrub and rinse. You can make your own bathroom spray by using one ounce of Concentrate for every 5 ounces of water. Our system isn't picky, so you don't worry about being exact.

A: Great question! Branch Basics is not antibacterial. Rather than attempting to "kill" bacteria, use Branch Basics to remove it from the surface. Just plain soap and water, or a cleaning product with surfactants, like Branch Basics, is much more effective than sanitizers/disinfectants at removing ALL GERMS. Our product has surfactants that reduce surface tension so that the cleaner can emulsify, penetrate and loosen dirt, grime, and germs so they can be wiped or rinsed away.

A: Hi there. You do not need to shake it every time you wash your hands. Initially, when you fill your bottles we recommend shaking it up then you are good to go! After that, shaking is not necessary.

A: Hi there, thanks for your question! Yes, you can use the All Purpose Bottle to spray and wipe as you go. You can also use the 1/2 - 1 teaspoon of Concentrate per 2 cups of water if you prefer the bucket and mop method.

A: Hi! Yes! Branch Basics can be used on natural stone like marble. The only caveat would be if you have a sealer that requires a particular pH. The pH of our concentrate is 8.5 +/- 0.5. If you have a concern that requires a particular pH, we recommend that you fill your All-Purpose with water and concentrate and test the pH. Also test an inconspicuous area of your natural stone to see how the product interacts with the surface. It's very rare to hear that a customer has an issue with our formula, but it's always a good idea to test it first!
