I really wanted it to work out. The big thing that sold me on this item was the small seat. The baby doesn’t sit right on it if it’s comfortable on my arm. Now if the baby is on the seat right it’s uncomfortable for my arm. The best way to compare the shoulder feeling—like your tucking your elbow in to not touch someone. Not very comfortable. It was easy to loosen and tighten from straps

Even though my little one loves walking most of the time, there are plenty of moments when a fast pick-up is necessary such as in crowded stores, tired legs, or just hopping in and out of the car. Boppy is a brand that I have used for all my babies and I trust their products. When I first put it on, I was hesitant if it would actually work as described, but I am so glad to be wrong. It works and it works great! I used it with my 16 month old toddler who weighs 27 pounds and loves to be held on my hip. It has been difficult to hold her for too long because my back and my arm would be tired. The Boppy Cross-Body Hip Carrier is a game changer! It is so easy to put on and adjust. I love how simple the one piece design is as well. The split padded shoulder strap is actuallcomfortable. It was my first experience using a carrier with split straps and it does make a difference with weight distribution. The padded contoured seat works equally as great. It's thin, but supportive enough for my toddler's tushy. The overall cross-body design is what saved my shoulder, back and arms from aches. Finally, I love how lightweight and compact it is. I can easily fold it up and keep it in my diaper bag when I'm not using it. It's actually the first carrier I have owned that can do that because it's not to heavy or bulky. I used the Boppy ComfyHold Cross-Body Hip Carrier anytime I was out of the house and could not use a stroller. Walking from parking lots to inside stores, checking out yard sales, during my other kids' soccer practices, and I even used it at a rodeo a few days ago. I was so glad I had it every time I used it! In terms of comfort and fit, the even weight distribution was a plus. It took the strain off my shoulders and arms, even when carrying a heavier kiddo for a longer time. That said, I think the seat area could use a bit of a redesign—maybe a slightly bigger seat or adding a mesh panel between the straps, kind of like what’s on the shoulder area, to help keep a wiggly baby more secure. I found that sometimes I needed both hands to keep them in place, which took away from the hands-free convenience a bit. As for portability, it’s super easy to just toss into my backpack and head out the door. I received this product to test out and review and would say overall would buy.

I am a huge fan of this style of baby carrier, especially once little ones start walking. My boy is on the verge of walking, so I know I will be using it even more once he does. I love the ease of being able to throw it into my diaper bag without it being as bulky as most other baby carriers. It was also comfortable to wear, helping to distribute the weight nicely over the shoulder. I also love that it was an easy carrier for either me or my husband to use, without having to make a lot of adjustments between us, given our very different sizes. The only issue we had with the carrier was that you had to make sure that the baby was positioned just right in it, or it was easy for him to slip out of the bottom of it. It is definitely essential to maintain a good grip on the baby to ensure that doesn't happen. But overall, we were very pleased with this carrier and I know we will be using it much more in the future once our son is walking!

As a mom of many types and brands of carriers, I can honestly say, the Boppy crossbody has been a game changer. I don’t need a carrier often anymore but I do always keep two different carriers in my car, just in case. The are bulky though and cannot fit in the diaper bag. What I absolutely love about the boppy carrier, is how compact it is! It takes up very little room in the diaper bag. It is now a staple for us on the go. It is also very comfortable and helps distribute the child’s weight, making it easier to hold them for a longer period. I have a 23lb 16 month old and a 31lb 3.5yr old. I have used it with both kids without issue. They both fit comfortably and I can hold them much easier with the carrier. It is also much quicker to put kids in and out than other traditional carriers, while also being much more compact than other carriers too. I highly highly recommend this carrier to keep in your diaper bag!! Even if you own 2-3 other carriers like I do. This will now be my go to for out and about!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This crossbody hip carrier is very lightweight and folds up compact which is great for on-the-go to put in a diaper bag or carry-on for traveling. It has a buckle on both sides so it’s very easy to slip it on either shoulder. And the adjustable straps are very easy to make it tighter or loser as needed. For a child who prefers to be carried on the hip (rather than back) and is too large to be carried in the front, this is perfect. I picked up my two year old with this carrier, and he didn’t want to be put down! But since it helped make carrying him easier I didn’t mind, and he is 30 lbs! The shoulder strap splits to distribute weight so not all the pressure rests in one place. I received this in exchange for my review, and I look forward to using it more to test out how well the shoulder strap stays and holds weight over time.

Overall, I found the Boppy Hip Carrier convenient and easy to use. My kids, ages 2 and 11 months, are at the stage where they want freedom to move independently but also still frequently want to be held. The Boppy Hip Carrier is perfect for this because it is so easy to put on and takes no time at all to put one of them in or take them out. The carrier also helps to give my arms and back a little break from carrying the full weight of my ever growing kiddos! I like that the carrier is very light and can easily fit in the diaper bag. It did take some getting used to the design of the carrier and making sure I felt my kiddos, especially my 11 month old, were secure in the carrier. The carrier also did sometimes leave my shoulder a bit sore after extended use. Overall, this isn't my favorite baby carrier of all time, but I do think it is a nice option to have.

I’m used to full sized front and back carriers, so this was a bit different and I struggled to make it comfortable for my son and I. I will say, once you get the hang of it, it’s quick fast to get your child in and out. I don’t personally think this carrier diminishes the strain of carrying my son. He’s quite large for a newly 2 year old, so I feel that having a traditional carrier is better for him. I am also a larger woman, so that may contribute to the discomfort as well. On the plus side, I do love how compact and lightweight this carrier is. Easy to have with you on the go, light enough that it’s not going to have you sweating more on a hot day, and mostly comfortable for the child.

Before receiving the hip carrier, I was on the fence on whether or not I would use it. Now I bring it with me for easy pick up at the daycare, to walk around the store when my little one wants carried and around the house sometimes when trying to multitask but don’t want my little on in my front or back. It took a couple tries for me to feel comfortable that my little one and I were using it appropriately because it was just so easy. I kept thinking what’s the catch, am I doing this wrong? Turns out, it’s just that easy. The black and gray pattern doesn’t clash with anything I’m wearing and the size of the carrier makes it easy to bring just about anywhere. I’m going to be using this carrier for years to come since my little one is only one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am 32 weeks pregnant with a nineteen-month old going on 30lbs, so it's safe to say it's getting harder and harder to carry him, but he's getting more and more clingy! This carrier has been great for us. It's easy slip on and off, and makes carrying him around a breeze! So far, we mainly use it around the house when I'm cooking or cleaning, and he's going up and down a lot. However, it's so compact, that we're able to pack in our diaper bag (which was already pretty full) and bring it with us on outings in case he needs it. The expanded area around the shoulder definitely makes it more comfortable. I've never had to carry him for more than 15-20 minutes straight, but I haven't gotten tired - and pretty much everything makes me tired nowadays! I do wish the seat back was SLIGHTLY more structured for his seat, as I do need to support him a bit. That tradeoff is worth it though, compared to other sling carriers that are cumbersome and traditional hip carriers that require even more support from me.
