A: Thanks for your question. The PUR Faucet Mount filter is designed to reduce contaminants like lead, but it doesn’t bring water to 0 ppm (parts per million). Does not fit sink. Instructions say not to return and to get new adapters from company. Company sent adapter, took forever, and didn't use any of my information so I was sent incorrect ones. When I spoke again, I was told to buy a new one. Don't waste your money.

GREAT FOR COLLEGE DORM
This is the PERFECT filtration system for my daughter's dorm room. Her friends recommended she get a pitcher, however that takes up too much space in their small fridge! We returned the pitcher & I decided to have her try this and it was the best idea! The sink in their dorm room isn't very deep. I would advise to check that if they plan on using it to actually fill your water. it could still be done but not with a 32/40 oz jug. (Even without this filter, their water bottles wouldn't fit under the original faucet). *other wise it's easy to switch from filter to regular water! *They mainly use this to have nice clean water to wash their faces! The dorm does offer a filtered water fountain for their water bottles. HIGHLY RECOMMEND not only to save space, but you didn't have to remember to fill it up like a pitcher! Pros: easy installation, ease of use, great fresh tasting water cons: filter life isn't great (but follows the description.. were at a little over a month and with two girls using it, it just turned orange today and price is filtered is about the same as the unit itself.

Just what I needed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put this filter in my cabin where we don't have any filtered water. The installation was extremely easy and PUR gives you multiple adapter choices for your faucet. I like that I can save my filter and use regular faucet water to clean dishes and then switch over to the filter when I need drinking water or water for the coffee pot. You can definitely taste the difference between the regular and filtered water. So far my filter is still going strong and I haven't had to replace the original filter yet. I've had this unit installed for about a month now and I love it.

Easy to assemble had it up and running in no time l could tell a huge different in the water quality right away. Was coming out more fresher and wasn’t so harsh on my face when cleaning my face. Not only does the pur filter filter out the crap in the water and makes it taste good but prevents us from buying water in plastic containers. It was super easy to install, just twist onto your faucet and turn the water on.

It fits on our sink well, but it's a bit bulky when we try to wash dishes in the sink. I love the taste of filtered water (especially because we live in the city), but not sure if I love it enough to keep buying the expensive filters. I may just stick to our filtered water pitchers that we keep in the refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been trying to figure out a solution for fresh water at my elderly parents' home, and I'm so glad I found this product. They rent, so we're not allowed to make any permanent changes to the home, and the house is relatively small so counter space is a concern. My father is also old, so lugging around bottles of water is also not an option. I love that this item doesn't take up a large amount of space in the kitchen, but it also looks good! The water definitely tastes better and I'm happy that they have water on-demand without having to remember to fill any jugs or bottles.

This system filters out the tap water and converts it to drinking. I tried two glasses of water, one is tap and the other is tap but through this PUR system. The PUR system one tastes so much cleaner! It was also very easy to install. Make sure your faucet head is the normal circular one that the PUR system can be twisted onto. The light on the unit telling you when it’s good or replacement is needed is such a nice idea. Overall, I recommend this to save some money on buying drinking water!

First of all upon unboxing I was impressed with the design, it is super sleek and nice. Installation was super easy and if I had any doubts or questions I just referred to the manual which were included. Instructions were easy to read and understand. I let the water run and immediately noticed the difference in the appearance of the water and most importantly the taste. The water tasted fresh and tasty. This filter is the best thing ever. Just to think how much money I could have saved myself. I have access to delicious water on demand. I can use this water during times that I need for cooking and not worry I will get a chlorine taste. Overall I love the look it gives my faucet and especially the wonderful performance. I will continue to use and highly recommend to others.

Yay! Clean and pleasant drinking water!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My aunt had water that smelled and tasted terrible. It was “safe” to drink, but not at all pleasant. We picked up a testing kit and found the sulfur in her water was off the charts. It was also very hard. The PUR faucet filter was super easy to install. The cover of the existing faucet was only hand tight, so it was easy to remove. The PUR filter screwed right on in its place. We turned on the faucet and the faucet comes out full force just like it used to. When you flip the lever on the filter, it shifts the water to go through the filter and you get a stream of filtered water. I wish it came out a little faster, but I was able to fill a nice cup of water that was quite pleasant to drink with no nasty smells or tastes. After testing the filtered water with our test kit the sulfur was nearly gone, along with calcium and a few other less prevalent minerals. The main thing was my aunt could get nice drinkable water out of her faucet for the first time in years!
