Q: Why does the description by Target say the filter lasts 6 months when the package says 3 months?
A: Thank you for your inquiry. The reason it says 6 months, is because the box will last you 6 months. Each filter lasts for 3 months, and this package comes with 2 filters. Q: My filter light is no longer turning green but it's not red is that normal? Only I had it a little over a month.

Q: I’ve only had my filter for two weeks and the light is already red indicating for me to change it? Why is it doing this? It’s turning red on both of my our units in each bathroom after only 2 weeks of use.

The indicator is designed to track water usage, and a red light typically signals that 100 gallons have been filtered. It’s possible there’s been higher water usage or an issue with the sensor. Q: Is this filter the same as RF 9999?

Q: When I opened my replacement filter, there was a substance on it I've seen before that looked like fine salt. Should I use it?

These particles are not harmful in anyway if consumed and can be wiped or washed off the filter. We hope this information is helpful.
