The Pur Water Filter looks cool, but I am not able to evaluate it beyond that, except to say that I, a single woman with arthritis in her hands, was unable to install this by myself. Having an old kitchen fixture might also be to blame. Rather than asking a neighbor to install it for me, I decided to review it based on this situation to illustrate that some in the elderly or disabled population may be left behind from this product.

I will say that this one is pretty good. The water tastes great and I have peace of mind that impurities are being filtered out. Now with that being said I don’t like how difficult it is to install it. I have experienced others filters and they were easy to install but this one was pretty difficult. The box contain four differ adaptors but none of them worked really. Some how my dad was able to get one of them to work but it doesn’t work properly because when I turn on the tap it doesn’t turn on right so with that being said I would say skip this one if you don’t feel like going through a hassle for filtered water.

It saves me from having to buy plastic bottles and makes it easy to fill my pots with clean water when I’m cooking. The taste is clean and crisp , definitely like it! It is easy to install and comes with several adapters , if you don’t have one that fits then you can reach out and they will send you more .

For the first 2 weeks it was great but from there it started running slow and not even a month we had to change the filter and the little green light doesnt indicate anything because it taste like drain water and still shows up green instead of red

With the Pur faucet filteration system I can really taste the difference in the water, there is no more tap water taste. I had a hard time removing the aerator on my faucet but once I was able to get it off the installation was quick and easy, it fit securely on my faucet, with no leaks. The vertical design is great and doesn't get in the way when I am doing dishes etc. The filter life indicator is a huge plus, I will know when it's time to replace the filter instead of having to guess.
