Q: How many months before changing the filter?

submitted by Aglow - 3 years ago
  • A: I change it every 3 months

submitted byDee - 3 years ago
  • A: It really depends upon how much you use it. My assumption from the description is it should be comparable to brita filters. If so, they say on average to replace every 2 months or 40 gallons.

Q: Can you please tell me what "reduce" actually means? ie. What percentage (%) is "reduced" for the following key concerns: Lead, PFAS, Choloramines, Cadmium, Mercury, Chlorine, Taste & Order?

submitted by Hot Food - 9 months ago
  • A: Hello! - Thanks for reaching out about this handy filter. We have not conducted any official particle retention tests, which can certify a specific Micron Rating. However, due to the construction of our mesh, which sits on the bottom of the cartridge, we can expect to accomplish a 270 Micron Rating, if we were to test it officially. We hope this was helpful. Happy shopping! - Tania

Our family drinks a lot of water. So filter change also a lot of times. For this quality at this price, I would definitely choose this filter.

This is actually a really good alternative to any namebrand filters we have purchased before. It worked just fine and was easy to use, nothing crazy. For the savings, I would definitely suggest it. It was even super easy for hubby to use.

These water filters work just as well as the name brand. I waited to review until they had been used for a full cycle, and they performed great. They fit well in the standard brand name water pitcher, and they seemed to improve the taste of our hard water.

We've been using this filter for over a week and the water from this filter does not taste as good as from the original Brita filter. It still has a carbon and some other taste and smell which we didn't have before.

They do fit standard Brita filters, but not as snuggly as name-brand. There’s also a noticeable amount of empty space if you look inside the filter which is odd—not as dense as the name brand. And while they take away the chlorine later taste of tap water, they leave a mild copper taste. This is probably from Chicago’s pipes, but the name brand takes it away. It’s not too bad if you keep your water cold though.

I prefer these to the name brand. The name brand have a taste that is a bit clay like when the water is not cold. These do not have this issue, the water tastes much better than the name brand.

These are comparable to the Brita brand’s filter, and do the exact same feature. Comparing the job of the filter, I feel that my water is being safely filtered. You can’t beat the price.

I like that I can use them in my Brita water pitcher. I buy Up ,& Up brand products when I can because to me they are as good as the big name brand products but more affordable.

Do not work. Have used brita filters for years. Got these because there were no brita available. Water tastes the same as if it came out of the tap. Never had this problem with brita

i typically buy the Brita brand of water filter, but the past few times I have used the Up & Up brand.. I really do not see a difference. Now, I have not had the water tested in a lab to compare how well they work, but taste wise I notice no difference.
