Q: What does 15 day life mean?
A: Muchas gracias yo también me confundí con ese dato..
submitted byYma - 7 months agoA: This is mislabeling by Target, filter life is measured in gallons not time. Average filter is 20 to 25 gallons filtered water per filter.

Q: after filtering only a few gallons, in 10 days, water smelled terribly fishy. meter read bad, pitcher was always refrigerated.& refilled immediately 2nd filter same thing.i have municipal city water.
A: Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. We empathize with your situation and we have spoken with many customers with this issue. Some of our customers have used other, traditional filtration systems, such as a Culligan Whole House Filter to treat the water prior to filtering through a Zero Water filter. In many cases that will cut the TDS level down enough to make the use of ZeroWater more economical. There is very little we can do to extend the life of our filters when the water supply is so high in TDS. Our filters are designed to remove over 99% of dissolved solids; in areas with high TDS readings filter life will be short.

Q: Either your literature or an indep, study showed your filter can raise copper levels of water by 6x since part of the filtering system contains copper. where can I find more info on that
A: Our filters are tested and certified by the NSF to remove 99% of Copper in water, the test results can be viewed in the link below https://shop.culligan.com/cdn/shop/files/Culligan_ZWTech_PerformanceData.pdf?v=7374319528102877059

A: The filters are Non-perishable, there is a sticker on the outside of the box which would have the manufactured date.

Q: The specifications sayZ: 15 Gallon estimated water filter life: At $15 per filter this is about $1 per gallon. Is this good value ?
A: Average filter life is approximately 20 to 25 gallons of filtered water per filter. Filter life is always determined by the quality of the water being filtered so you could get 40 or more gallons per filter or it could be less than 15 gallons depending how poor the water quality is in your area. Thank you,

Q: It says to change every 20 gallons. Not sure how much has ran through my filter. But is a way to tell when the water starts flowing through more slowly?
A: You must use the TDS Meter to know when to change the filter, test the filtered water and if the meters reads higher than 006ppm it is time to change the filter.
