Q: Is this safe for graphic t-shirts? Does cellulase eat the cotton under the print causing it to crack quicker?

  • A: While Cheer Original HE Liquid Laundry Detergent is formulated for excellent cleaning and performing well in pretty much all the fabrics, it does contain cellulase. Cellulase is an enzyme that helps keep cotton fabrics looking their best by removing fuzz and pills. For delicate items like graphic t-shirts, especially those with cotton content, continuous use of detergents with enzymes like cellulase could potentially impact the fabric over time. This might, in turn, affect the longevity of the print. To best preserve your graphic t-shirts, we generally recommend washing them inside out in cold water, using a gentle cycle

    Leaking detergent

    Target is the only store that sells my favorite laundry detergent. Unfortunately, my detergent arrived, but it is leaking and I lost quite a bit of product. Luckily Target places the detergent in a thick plastic bag so it did not destroy the rest of my order. If the box was packed more securely, it likely would not have jostled so much and leaked

    Good for sensitive skin and Lupus skin

    This is the only laundry detergent I can use with my sensitive skin and severe allergies. Even “free and clear” detergents make me itch. My mom has Lupus and this is the only detergent she can use as well. It’s getting harder and harder to find it. The scent is light and it gets the job done. We have used it since the 1980s. I’m praying they don’t stop making it.
