Description
Magnesium activates the enzymes necessary for a number of physiological functions, including neuromuscular contractions, cardiac function, and the regulation of the acid-alkaline balance in the body. In a cross-sectional study involving 210 elderly individuals, optimal magnesium intake was associated with lipid metabolism and lean body mass. Magnesium is necessary for the metabolism of carbohydrates, amino acids and fats, as well as energy production and the utilization of calcium, phosphorus, sodium, and potassium. In a 15-year study involving almost 5,000 young adults, higher intakes of magnesium were associated with healthy cardiovascular function and carbohydrate utilization. Another large cross-sectional study found that magnesium intake was positively associated with bone mineral density in certain subgroups. This vital mineral also helps utilize some vitamins, including vitamin B6, vitamin C, and vitamin E. Magnesium (glycinate) is less likely to cause loose stools than other forms of magnesium.

While we do recommend taking our Magnesium glycinate with food for better G.I. tolerance, it may also be taken on an empty stomach if you’re able to tolerate it without G.I. disturbances. I honestly don’t know if this is helping me or not at this point but I’m giving it a positive review for value and being the real deal. My husband is taking it for leg cramps, and it does help him! I am taking a bunch of supplements as I am breastfeeding and trying to stay healthy. I am taking magnesium in the evening to calm my mind, but I know there are many other benefits.

my doctor recommended this type of magnesium. The reason being other forms of magnesium flushed through my system too quickly. I started with 1/2 capsule (60mg) a day and have worked up to 2 capsules daily (am and pm) with no issue.

I am thankful I started taking Pure Magnisium. It has helped me so much. I fell strength in my muscles, the shakiness inside stops about 20 minutes after taking. Good for afib Also take 1 of these and 1 of the 125 mg. Cardiovascular Research Brand of magnesium taurate. 1 of each of these heps keep my afib away. These are the 2 best magnesiums for afib. These 2 brands are very pure.

This product seems to work well for me. Some magnesium supplements are hard on the GI tract. Magnesium glycerinate seems to be a good choice when other forms of magnesium can’t be tolerated.

There are many types of Magnesium, its good to choose the right one. Because of my issue with GERD I tend to choose vitamins that are gentle on my stomach. Mag Glycinate is highly absorbed and gentle on your system which means your body gets more of what it needs. Good brand, good choice!
