Purina ONE SmartBlend True Instinct Natural Real Salmon & Fish Flavor Dry Dog Food

I knew I wouldn't be able to find our regular brand in this small town so chose True Instinct Salmon and Tuna because the ingredient list was close to her regular food.Well, Lucy took one bite and was hooked. She turned her nose up to her regular food after that. Before we got Lucy we had another dog that had to be put down too young because of health issues. I always wondered if the cheaper dog food we fed him contributed to his problems, so when we got Lucy, I did a lot of research on dog food. We tried two or three different foods before settling on a competitor brand.After Lucy made her preference known, I checked with our vet, and even though she sold a competitor brand she gave us her nod of approval on True Instinct.

He’s a service dog who also does sports, always active and frequently doing something, meaning he benefits from extra protein and nutrient dense food. He also prefers fish flavors and most performance dog foods, especially fish based ones are not as easily accessible or affordable. I also appreciate how this food is backed by science and is more trustworthy than other brands. Niko, the standard poodle, also enjoys the flavor and the soft meaty pieces adding some texture variety. The food is 30% protein which is the perfect amount for him and it is well balanced nutrient dense.

One sniff and she knows it’s hers. I always open it right away and we get some of the little cheesy morsels out for a little snack. Switching up the flavors keeps her interested. She has a beautiful coat and we always get compliments on how shiny she is when we are out or at her Vet checkups.
