exploded instantly. I just finished blind baking a pie crust and set it on my stove to cool while I made the filling and it popped instantly. I just bought it and it was my first time using it. very disappointed and it ruined the batch of muffins I made that were cooling on the side of the stove.

HOW TO REMOVE THE HARDENED GLUE UNDER THE LABEL: soak a folded paper towel with rubbing alcohol (I used 91%) and lay it on the glue. Within about 5 mins you’ll be able to pick/scrape it off. Aside from that horrible packaging flaw, the dish itself is lovely.

Do NOT buy
Could not remove the long strip of glue on the INSIDE of the pie glass. Not sure who would design something like this, so frustrating and now need to return the 3 I bought.

Nice pie plates but the glue on the paper Pyrex insert in each if 3 I purchased was ridiculous. I had to soak each of them in 100% acetone and scrape and scrape to get the glue off. Normally the glue on this type of insert is jelly-like and you can just carefully peel it off. This glue was hard as a rock and again, the amount of it just ridiculous.

Plastic inside dish wont come off glass
The pie dish is great. I have 4 of these. The problem is the sticky stuff holding the paper label inside that is like the stuff used to stick those fake credit cards to paper in the mail. I don’t know if mine are old but they are dry like glue and I can’t get them off and they’re on the inside. So we would have plastic pies. I cant return it because the label is ripped…

Pie with a side of glue
They adhere a paper tag on the INSIDE of the dish that is nearly impossible to remove. I have soaked them in hot water, in straight dish soap, used a scrub mommy on it, ran it through the dishwasher and pulled it out while it was piping hot in the dry cycle to scrub it more and the adhesive glue crap will still not come off. I guess it’s fine if you’re okay with it being baked into the bottom of your pie, but I’m pretty disgusted. Maybe just put the tag on the outside / bottom of the dish where the food won’t be???
