DO not buy
I bought this last September and have had nothing but issues-constantly having to troubleshoot it and follow the guide. Most recently it stopped working and no battery changes/troubleshooting would work. I reached out and was told my warranty expired-convenient that your motor craps out shortly after the warranty does

Broke apart changing the brush head.
It broke and snapped apart when I was trying to change the brush head. I tried snapping it back together, but it’s no use, it’s cracked and every time you start brushing your teeth the brush head just separates and comes apart head.

Don't bother
I really wanted to love this toothbrush. I bought it about two months ago and I just hate it. That bristles are so painful to brush with and the vibration adds nothing to the brushing effect. I literally threw it away in favor of my regular manual toothbrush.

Neutral rating: personal, subjective pros and cons
Reusable base is great. Location of the power button is a touch awkward for pressing to start brushing my teeth. I love the metal base, that I’m not touching a bunch of plastic for 2min straight. Took a few days to get used to the different size and shape of the handle compared to my previous electric toothbrush, but I do appreciate how long the bristle section is. I think that’s why it cleans the way it does. I do find that the vibration of my previous toothbrush (from another company) vibrates better allowing for that super clean feel quicker. Unless it’s more the length of the bristle section combined with the shape of the brush compared to the shape of my jaw that makes it more challenging to achieve the squeaky clean feeling I’m used to. Unsure, I’m still adjusting to it, basically. But my 3 stars are simply meant to be a neutral position on it, it’s good quality from what I have felt and seen. I do appreciate the travel cover/base for holding the brush when not in use, that I can just flip the brush so the head is in the base or the handle is in the base to meet my needs.

I love the sonic toothbrushes that do not require a plug to recharge it. The disposable battery option saves this review. The life-span of the motor is not great (and you have to buy an brand new toothbrush....) but the scheduled refills are great!

Keep breaking and nowhere online to get help.
I am on my 4th quip tootbrush because they keep falling apart or quit working. The inside parts have come loose from the handle, the button quits working to power the toothbrush no matter how many batteries or attempts I try. I am fed up and cannot seem to find replacement parts and cheaper than buying another toothbrush. I love the design, but not worth the repeat purchases, price of heads, and frustration.

Not great
After trying quip for 4 years now I decided to upgrade for another toothbrush since the one I used to have the plastic version for all this time. I got the pride one with the metallic finish and its been only a few months and it’s starting to rust somehow and loosing the color. Honestly Im a bit disappointed.

EXCELLENT toothbrush for the price!
I bought this toothbrush many years ago, as my Mom owns one, and suggested I buy MYSELF one! So I did, and I've been very happy with the results I've seen! I submitted this review, then went back and read OTHER peoples' reviews, and realized that I'd left out a few important features that I appreciated, namely: -The double duty cover/mirror mount, -The automatic refill with a battery and new head, -The conveniently placed power button, -The comfortable handle, and brush head for my teeth, and -The 2-minute timer with 30-sec. interval reminders for each quadrant... I really loved using this toothbrush, but I've chosen to upgrade to the newer Ultra model, as it seems to have more features than my current one (more than on or off, in other words... :-) ) Though my current toothbrush HAS served me well over the last few years that I've owned it, it has fallen the wayside behind a newer, fancier toothbrush, by the SAME company, even! quip makes quality brushes, no doubt in my mind!

Only giving four stars because the directions on how to change the battery are not easy to find and are somewhat not super clear. Do I have to buy a new head with a battery every time I need to replace it or just replace the battery? Wish it was easier to find and understand. Aside from that, I’m really happy with my purchase. Great travel toothbrush for me. Doesn’t irritate my guns like other travel brushes have in the past. Vibration is subtle.
