The Razer Synapse software that is required in order to use this mouse is absolute garbage. The mouse is good. But because the software is so bad, I can't recommend this mouse.

The mouse wheel stopped working after only 5 months of use. My husband is a frequent gamer, but I don't recommend getting this if you play games. He did like it while it lasted!

First problem is the Razer Synapse software and its insistence on installing numerous different background services, despite me unchecking everything but the core app during installation. Regardless, once it was installed, my firewall started going crazy with multiple different apps and services trying to gain internet access. Even worse, you could tell by their names, some of them were trying to tie into my Steam software, internet browsers, etc. This is unacceptable since I (the paying customer) chose to unselect everything during install but the 1 single core Synapse app to customize the mouse. They never disclosed anything and I certainly never agreed to their software trying to interface with all this other software on my PC. But, I could have lived with that since, once you customize the mouse, the settings are stored in its onboard memory and it would then be possible to uninstall the Razer software. Or at least try to... I haven't yet so I'm unsure if it actually does remove the plethora of files and services it created. However, what I can't live with are hardware defects with the mouse and the lack of product support from Razer. There isn't enough room in this review to list every problem so I'll just mention the main one. About 10 percent of the time, upon booting or waking my PC, the mouse will be non-functional and I must unplug/replug it to regain function. I've tried it in multiple USB ports, both 2.0 and 3.0 and it still happens. Note that I've used many other mice on this PC over the years (Logitech, Roccat, etc) and never experience this problem with any of them. Contacted Razer support and the rep obviously had never been trained on the product line. He didn't even have knowledge of basic features. So, after wasting half an hour with him just trying to make him understand the problem and, indeed, trying to teach him about his own company's product, he finally acknowledged that he would need to escalate the ticket to a product expert. And guess what, no one ever got back to me. I suspect they know its a defect but Razer is one of those companies that try to avoid customers with a defective product and hope they just go away so they don't have to deal with a warranty claim. But, guess what Razer, what happens instead is I post this 1 star review about your bad product / support and contact Target to return it as defective anyway!
Apparently it's perfecr

Bought this for my son for Christmas. He’s pretty particular about his mouse and couldn’t find one he liked to replace one that broke. He spends a lot of time gaming. He said he needed it to have buttons in the right place, his thumb to rest in the right place, it needed to feel a certain way in his hand, I dunno… I’m just a mom. He tried a few and wasn’t happy with them so I took a shot on this one. He said it’s perfect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always been a Logitech guy when it came to a gaming mouse but now I'm sold on Razer. Ergonomically it's perfect for me and long gaming sessions. The scroll wheel is great with the ability to change from a tactile scroll to a completely free scroll feel. Overall I love this gaming mouse and it's probably the best on the market at this price point.

I've never tried a mouse of this design before. I usually stuck to the more ''traditional'' shaped mice like the G204 or Pulsfire Haste. But I was intrigued by some of the features and decided to give it a try. Now it's officially the only mouse I use. It's very comfortable given how large it is compared to other mice but it fits nicely in my hand. The free spin scroll wheel is a nice feature that I didn't realize I needed. The side buttons are large and easy to hit without having to find them. The software that you can download allows you to remap any of the buttons which is very nice to have. My only issue would actually be the two main buttons. The right and left click for some reason felt a bit mushy to me when I first started using the mouse. They weren't as crisp and tactile as other mouse buttons I've used. But once you get used to them, they aren't noticeable. For the price I would definitely recommend this to others out there.

First off.. Wow gaming mice have come down in the past few years it seems.. This is GREAT for the price! (Remember the Razer Diamondback??) Longer clickers than I thought they would be but work just fine for FPS and any game i've used. I'm not sure if I can go back to a mouse without the button to make the scroll wheel just go full fidget spinner mode.. I'm not kidding a really do like it, it's useful too. I get some little crumbs or whatever microscopic things that scrape underneath the mouse which can be annoying (I use the Razer Sphex V2 mousepad) but it's not the mouse's fault I suppose. The different color lights look great and the Razer program works just fine imo. The button mapping can be a bit funky but totally doable. I figured out that you can't really create another "Mouse 6", instead you need to just assign the button (between Mouse 4 and Mouse 5 on the map) using the "keyboard function" to the exact letter or key on the keyboard for the game. You'll see what I mean. Cord is nice, has that braided feel but isn't super stiff (it's been months since I got this not sure how it was in the start but it's fine now).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very impressed so far with this mouse. It looks super cool and suits my needs well. I usually use a mouse with like 15 buttons, but this one with 10 works great as my across-the-room mouse for watching shows on my PC monitor. The software was easy to set up and is also super cool. Highly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Razer Basilisk V3 Wired Gaming Mouse for my son’s “gaming career”. Judging by the screams of joy I’d say he loves it. The thing that he liked the most about it was the programmable buttons. The mouse has a good hand feel and has textured areas on the mouse to improve the grip. The other cool feature that he liked was the glowing lights underneath the mouse and the mouse wheel.
Nice Fit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fits great to my hand, and was an easy setup. Lighting settings were easy to understand and configure, there are many features not sure if they all are useful but at least you have them if you need them. It seems very responsive and the profiles you can set up are nice.
Comfortable and Responsive. Great Technology!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Haven't used a wired mouse in a very long time but I'm a covert again. Previously had issues with my wireless mouse interacting with AirPod quality on phone calls so this is an unexpected benefit of the Razer Basilisk V3 Gaming Mouse. I use this with a Mac and have had zero issues and installation is easy. Mouse fits my small hand and also my husbands large one and the texturized grip is great. We both find it to be comfortable and all the buttons and the tilt wheel are easily usable for our different hand sizes. The automatic adjustable scroll wheel is a nice feature when using mouse for non-gaming uses. Motion and response is very fast, excellent performance and although I've resisted the RGB effects in the past, I do find the colors very relaxing.
