The Real Techniques Face Base Set includes 4 curated, multi-use makeup brushes to help you stipple, blend, and buff your base with ease. The set includes our new 256 Ultra Buff Brush, new 257 Small Conceal Brush, new 258 Flat Contour Brushes, and the 402 Setting Brush. Apply foundation, blend out concealer, build cream contour, dust on powder - do it all just like a professional, with the Face Base Set. This set has all you need to create a seamless base that will last. Start with easy cream foundation application using 256, precisely conceal with 257, sculpt your cheekbones with 258, and set with 402. The Real Techniques Face Base brushes work best with cream products, but they are all multi-functional, so they're meant to be used with powders and liquids too. The brushes are easy to clean using the Real Techniques Brush + Sponge Cleansing Gel. They’re also made with extended aluminum ferrules and 100% cruelty-free, vegan, UltraPlush, synthetic bristles.

Good starter set

Great Starter Set

Super versatile set regardless of how much/little you use makeup. I know Real Techniques has a couple of other kits that could act as a better starter set, but this one is also pretty good if starting. Hoping that it lasts long term! My other Real Techniques sets have lasted relatively long and have had a great lifespan, so hoping for the same here.

There are four brushes in the set. The Ultra Buff Brush gives the right amount of coverage while still looking natural. It blends my foundation perfectly and the corners allow me to easily reach all areas of my face. The Concealer Brush is just the perfect shape and size for covering blemishes. The Flat Contour Brush helps me create definition and the Setting Brush is ideal for powder application. Each of the brushes are soft and fluffy and they're so easy to use and feel great on my skin. If you're looking for a new face brush set I would definitely recommend this one!

Quality Brushes with a little bump
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a fan of Real Techniques I was stoked to check out the Face Base set of brushes. All of the brushes have solid construction. The 256 does a great job of buffing foundation and concealer to a flawless finish. The 258 contour brush is the perfect shape and does a fabulous job. The 402 powder brush is perfectly functional but nothing special. Then we get to my least favorite... the 257 concealer brush just doesn't work well for me. It is good for placing concealer but if you are trying to blend it out, you will have a bit of a challenge. It is just a little to short and stiff for me.

These brushes are great for blending your concealer, foundation and also work really well with the elf putty blush and contour. They do have like 1 or 2 bristles that are longer than the brush but I just snipped them off with some scissors, other than that they’re a really good quality of brushes :)

They last for a while before needing to be replaced too. I use the RT 256 Ultra Buff brush to apply my foundation. The RT 402 Setting brush to apply my powder. The RT 257 Small Conceal brush under my eyes to blend in concealer. And the RT 258 Flat Contour brush to do a little contouring.

This particular set is pretty good, since 3 out 4 were usable in my daily makeup routine. It has the good rounded blending blush good for applying eye shadow and liquid foundations. Also loved the wider brush, for applying blush and highlighting powder on the cheeks. The handles are smooth and the brushes clean easily.

Another Great Set from Real Techniques
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great set for laying down a base. Brushes are dense but soft and offer good control without leaving streaks. I used with a balm foundation, cream contour and cream concealer. The set also includes the 402 setting brush which is a classic Real Techniques brush that everyone should own. Nice and small for targeted application of setting powder or highlight. These brushes are workhorses that do the job very well without being overpriced. No need to worry about being too precious about them. They clean up easily and are lightweight for travel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My favorite brush in this set is the RT256, I love a good flat top brush because it really aids in packing(stippling) your product giving fuller coverage vs just blending it in like the RT200 brush which is was I use for an everyday look. The RT258 contour brush is amazing because its a little thicker in the brush head than most contour brushes which leave a stark line because they're thinner. RT257 is precise and I think I'd go back and buy another set just for this brush if it's not being sold in singles.
