Worked like new
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mixer and accessories arrived in perfect condition. It looked like new except for a small scuff on the attachment cover. The bowl-lift moves smoothly and holds with no issues. It was easy to adjust the paddle height as it came a little too low and was scraping the bowl. It's a great size for double batches of frosting and cookies.

Just what we needed at a price we could afford.

Bigger and better
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a workhorse. Huge capacity. It took some time to get use to the raise and lower. My old one was a tilt up. And it was an old one. We had given it to my mother in law in 1978 and it is still working just fine. My kids decided I needed an upgrade. These mixers can’t be beat.

Strong, SS attachments, all look and clean great

Each batch I learn more about flours and hydration amounts. The mixer looks has performs perfectly, even though it was "Refurbished". I can not tell this from new, except my bank account appreciated the discount!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been mixing all my life manually or with a hand mixer, after burning out my last hand mixer decided to bite the bullet and get a stand mixer. It was quite a game changer and really appreciated the reduced time and effort it provided as it would mix and I could prepare other items. I bought a refurbished unit for considerably less and was crossing my fingers it would perform as new. So far so good. Refurbished is the way to go!

It sits next to my 5qt artisan tilt-head mixer to handle the triple/quad batch, heavy-duty mixing and days where there is a lot of baking going on so I don’t have to wash bowls so often. A real powerhouse, it handles large batches without a hitch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product arrived with defect - Lift handle cap detached, won't stay on. Probably why is was returned originally but I would expect "refurbished" would mean they'd fix the issue before shipping it back out? Apparently not. Aside from that issue, I've used it a few times now and it's a great mixer, it's a good weight and is stable and the motor is powerful.

Good but with some flaws
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got this KitchenAid stand mixer to upgrade from my artisan, and while I’m mostly happy with the machine, there are just a couple issues that keep me from giving it 5 stars: first, the small cap on the handle keeps falling off, and second, the motor sounds like it’s struggling a little to knead my sourdough loaves. It gets the job done, but I wonder if I’m working it too hard. I guess we’ll see in the future if it will last as long as my Artisan did.
