KitchenAid Fully Automatic Espresso Machine KF8, KES8558

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this device almost a year ago. My spouse and I have used it A LOT. The only problem I have encountered so far is when I used a certain kind of coffee bean that was more oily than others. That particular type of coffee bean would stick to the hopper, and I'd manually have to push it down from time to time. Once I switched to a less oily type of coffee bean, it worked as intended. KitchenAid could implement a different kind of hopper that made better use of gravity, but it's not that big of a deal. Additionally, I will say that I am quite happy with the frothing capability of plant milks. Soy milk does not froth too well, but almond milk has been an excellent low calorie, low carb plant milk to use with this machine. I will say that the price made me hesitant to purchase (it could be priced a little bit less considering all the plastic materials), but overall it has held up exceptionally well and has provided my household with high quality coffee beverages with little to no skill on my part. Overall, I would recommend this product to any coffee lover (that can afford the upfront cost) who wants coffeehouse quality in the convenience of their kitchen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Kitchen Aid to replace my Delonghi coffee machine which I had for 5 years and was always a little disappointed with it. Very happy with the KF8 coffee machine. It was cheaper than the Delonghi and actually makes hot coffee. I would certainly recommend the KitchenAid KF8.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have had this machine for a month and I love the versatility it offers. Modifying volumes, coffee strength and mixes are fast and easy. I also find the machine is very quiet. A great choise in my opinion.

Among other things, we are writers and do web design and other creative projects. We bought this for the office and find it a triumph of design, engineering, and intuitive user experience. For anyone who loves the ritual of espresso but not the relentless upkeep that comes with most machines, we have found this one to be a revelation. There are 12 drink choices to choose from and each can be fully personalized and saved under one’s own profile. First, we appreciate the self-cleaning feature, which is a great innovation. It doesn’t just help—it overrides human laziness. This machine anticipates the very human tendency to skip cleaning “just this once” (which turns into a week), and automates it away. The result: a clean machine, all without relying on our memory, mood, or motivation. It’s like having a butler built into your espresso station, rather than being a slave to complex cleaning routines. The generous water tank is another masterstroke. Easy to access, it holds more than enough for multiple rounds of espresso, cappuccino, and lattes without constant refilling, as well as the water required for cleaning. We use a 1.5 pint glass Voss bottle filled with water next to our machine for ease of filling In our office, we love the aesthetics. The machine walks the fine line between retro and modern, and does it beautifully. The curves nod to vintage appliances, while the controls and digital precision is firmly 21st century. But beyond the looks, this is a machine loaded with well-thought-out features: dual boilers for simultaneous brewing and steaming, precise temperature control, intuitive interface, and sturdy portafilters that feel like professional gear. You get café-level performance, but with a surprising amount of ease. What truly stands out, though, is the intelligence of the design. Everything has a purpose. Nothing feels extraneous. This is engineering that understands not only how espresso works—but how people work. That’s important in our office - the machine automatically makes sure it stays clean, makes it simple, and displays the easy preparation steps on the screen. We love the many different drinks this machine crafts and the ability to modify our drink preferences down to the last detail. The machine even has rear wheels for ease when moving it. We wanted a machine that would work with us—not against us (i.e., complicated cleaning). For our office (and I am planning one for my home) this machine is worth the investment.

Makes a great coffee, but uses a lot of water before and after its coffee making process. For every coffee or two made, the machine purges itself around 1 cup of water. So it's pretty heavy on water consumption and obviously fills the waste trays quite quickly with waste water. Apart from that, 2 months on it seems like a good machine that makes good coffee.

It is simple to operate, quiet, with many features to explore. Pity the milk function does not double when making two cups together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Makes fantastic coffee and we love it! I just wish the draining tray was bigger as you need to empty the tray after about 2-3 cups of coffee. Ideally you would keep the machine at your home near a sink to help with the ease of emptying the tray.

We looked at lots of different machines before deciding on the KitchenAid KR8. It’s just marvellous - lots of of coffee options and 6 profiles which is perfect for our family. Perfect crema, easy to use - honestly we couldn’t be happier !

As with any coffee appliance, there’s a bit of maintenance involved — such as replacing the filter, deep cleaning, and regular rinsing or dispensing — but fortunately, most of these tasks can also be done with the press of a button. Overall, we’re very satisfied with our purchase and would definitely recommend it to others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive had mine now for a tad over a month. I absolutely love it! Its perfect in every way and makes the best drinks I've ever had. Its so easy to use and has so many functions to assist you in anything you do. Your drinks are customizable in so many different ways. There's really not a single complaint I can think of? Maybe possibly include some descale tabs or an extra filter? That would be the only thing I could think of. Its super super quiet. I also have a Delonghi Dinamica Connect, and this Kitchenaid destroys my Delonghi

I think that one of the best features is the cleaning cycles, they are easy to be performed and keeps the machine always clean. I am happy to be assured that I won't have any internal mold growing. I would buy again for sure.
