A: The "newness" odor will fade with use. It speed the process up you can heat the unit, unplug, then take a damp cloth to wipe the plates...repeat.

The temperature design is great love how you can change the temp to suit your hair type and straightening needs. They worked well straightened my hair well the problem for me way they kept pulling my hair! My hair is already damaged and I don’t need to be losing it when styling and it hurt no one wants to be in pain while trying to make there hair look nice

A waste
Probably the worst flat iron I’ve used on my hair. It doesn’t get to my roots well at all, it didn’t flat iron my hair well either. Also, the plates were uneven when together so that made it kind of difficult to flat iron as well.

Didn't like it
The straightener didn’t straighten my hair properly and the heat doesn’t go higher this is not meant for someone with long curly thick hair.

Bought this back in May. I had the 1 inch flat iron from Remington for about 5 years, also from Target. I would travel with it as well, was fantastic, especially since I had shorter hair. Now that I have longer hair I wanted a bigger plate so it won’t take me a long time to straighten. Works greats, heats up quick, it leaves hair straight fairly quick and less frizz in the summer humid days (I have very curly hair). The only flaw is that the pink part started to chip after a few uses. Hasn’t burned my hair but it’s annoying. The pictures I provide is how big they got since May. I straighten my hair once a week (maybe twice for a touch up). It’s just sad that it chips.
