The Conair Style Chemistry, Flat Iron Attachment, was excellent! For the price and versatility, it did a fantastic job. Not only was it easy to use, but the iron itself heated up instantly and was ready to use in under 2 minutes. If I had to mention a few pitfalls, it would be that as cool having the attachment be detachable and able to be switched out for a different tool, it made the tool itself a bit unstable to use. While flat ironing my hair, which is about mid-chest length, near the tips of my hair, the flat iron dislodged itself from the rest of my device, and luckily, I avoided burning myself. The locking function could use some work. Additionally, the flat iron size is pretty short, so if you have longer hair, you will probably have to split it into several sections to work it through. Otherwise, it straightened my hair perfectly without feeling like I burned it or used excessive heat. A single pass was enough with this attachment! If it didn’t dislodge when I used it, it would be a 5/5 for sure.

This flat iron attachment is truly appreciate as a curly girl like me. I typically always straighten my hair and bangs. In all honestly, sometimes it's a pain to have to use and hook up more than one hair tool. The fact that this attached to the start kit and I can work with both is awesome. I love how lightweight it is and also how easily it straightens my hair with one pass. Perfect to travel with also because it's so light weight and the handle isn't too wide to where it makes it problematic to hold. It also doesn't feel like my arm is getting a work out when I use it because it's so light.

I really wanted to like this attachment, but unfortunately it just didn’t work as well as I expected it too. Upon trying to take the curl out of my hair, I passed it through about 6 times and there was still a soft curl to my hair. I think it was because there wasn’t enough pressure between the 2 plates to press it flat. I think it may be great for someone who doesn’t have a lot of curl, and maybe just needs some frizz control. The item is super lightweight though, so that’s a plus. I do have the Marcel attachment and that was such a win! I think this may be a great item for teenagers/beginners who don’t need to straighten their hair too much. But for me it was a miss. I’d still try the the other attachments though, considering I love being able to switch out the pieces depending on what kind of style I am going for and it allowing me to not have to lug around so many heat styling tools….especially the cords. This makes traveling easier by not getting tangled as well as the pieces being color coded so I know exactly what to look for. The item heated up quick which again is a great plus! I love a good multitasking tool. Who doesn't? The versatility of being able to have a tool that does it all is amazing. I have bangs but beach wave my hair so the flat iron piece was a much have. I love the digital temperature gauge but the only thing I really struggled with was the clamp on the flat iron. It's not that I won't ever get it but it's a learning curve for me for sure. I felt like I couldn't get the tension just right. I think with time it'll be perfect just need to get over that hump.

The Style Chemistry Starter Kit by Conair, I totally recommend! It's so easy to use, convenient and affordable as well. The Style Chemistry Flat Iron Attachment didn't work as well as I'd hoped. I don't love the technique of using your thumb to open it. In my opinion, it's just so much easier to work a flat iron when it's the other way around, meaning it's already open and you use your hand to close it. My thumb got a little tired using it, and it took several passes to get my hair straight. I have thin hair and it usually only takes one or two passes to get it straight. What I do like about this product, is the price point. It's very affordable and I love the other attachments/products in this hair tool line. The Style Chemistry Startee Kit worked great and I can't wait to use the other attachments that goes with it!

I recently got the honor to add the Conair Style Chemistry Flat Iron Attachment to my Style Chemistry Starter Kit, and i’m obsessed with it .Im huge on straightening my hair and have not found a good straightener that leaves my hair silky smooth and straight . But this one exceeded my expectations. The heating process is so fast. The actual process of changing the tool being used is so easy and makes it such a reliable product. It is lightweight and not huge to put away and it fits anywhere The straightener is not heavy which does not make it a struggle to do my actual hair . It’s small enough to get to small sections but big enough to do my whole head of hair. this is a new staple in my everyday life and routine and i recommend it so much.

I don't love the way it looks or the actual design for this straightener. I found it difficult and it would pull and tug on my ends more then giving me a smooth style. I don't love the handle I would rather just have that on a curling iron not the straightener

Style Chemistry Flat Iron attachment comes in fun colour and design for a full style spectrum covering all hair types and satisfying even the most skeptical users. Style Chemistry Flat Iron attachment is ceramic coated with a tip that is cool to the touch which comes in handy when the base tool is set at 400°F. Absolutely amazing when you can see it very clearly on the digital display on the base of a starter pack. It is also lightweight and ergonomic which makes the job easier when the user is having trouble handling the "heavy equipment" tools. Ceramic coating helps a lot with smoothing the hair out through the process of styling and helps to prevent freeze. The flat iron attachment was very easy to set up and lock with the style chemistry starter kit. I’ve never used a straightener with a clamp like this before, so I was definitely interested in trying it. The plates are 1 inch which is typically what I use. I did find that it pulled onto my hair at times and didn’t glide through as smooth as I hoped. I also think that with the clamp design, I’m not able to get a really straightened look because it doesn’t apply as much pressure. I have really thick and wavy hair so it did take me more passes to get the desired results. I like that this would be very portable and easy to travel with.
